Finding meaning in the mundane.

A good cup of coffee.
Dusk-time drive w/ cigarette.
Old SNES games.
Pizza and beer at a quiet bar with friends.

Either everything is holy or nothing is.

Either way.

Everything is holy, as Bella knows herself. Nothing escapes beauty or meaning...especially no escaping from beauty. Tracking down meaning is always a possibility and always harder.

What SNES games?

Yup......everything is indeed holy.

SNES games are the old Super Nintendo games.
I love them.

You are sooo behind the times, Darling Bella.

No, no, no!

*scolds Bella for the misinterpretation*

Of course I know what SNES means. The Super Nintendo was the best of all the systems, followed by the Sony Playstation. FFVI first came out for the SNES....

<pedantry>ACTUALLY, FFVI first came out for Super Famicom</pedantry>

As far as WHICH games, well, depends on my mood.

Harvest Moon is usually way up on the list, though.

::Totally ignores the scolding::

I quite agree that it SNES is the best of all the systems.
I probably need to play a game or two today.

You think so?
Atari is cool, but I have to agree with Bella about SNES being the best.

Or at least my favorite game system.

compare these two screen shots:
atari
(http://dorando.emuverse.com/images/ff6_02.png)
snes

it is plainly obvious as well as self evident that the graphics and game quality of the atari are vastly superior to the incredibly poor excuse for a system snes. even my tape driven PET has better graphics j0.

I concede that FFIII doesn't have the best graphics, but just look at the beauty of these screen shots from Super Metroid II!!

And these:

Kirby Superstar

Megaman X 3

Donkey Kong Country 3

Atari was awesome (still have a 2600 I play on occasion, mainly for Stargate and Defender), but SNES is god.

I have a PS2.  It's crap.  It's a nearly 5 year old First Gen PS2.  Plays nothing anymore.  My 10/+ year old SNES still works.  So do the games.

the fact that you mentioned it was a first-gen saved me heaps of time.

How to play Dr. DRE (http://members.isp.com/havoch27@isp.com/Public/FixPS2/FixPS2.htm)

odds are, that's your problem. and that's how you fix it, without paying Sony that is.
------------------------------
if your too much of a pussy to fix it because you think SNES (while a good system) is better than a PS2...then you have my sympathies.

Thanks.

I've taken the PS2 apart to clean it before ( IE, remove the massive dustballs in it when first purchased,) and this will come in handy.

I suspect the answer is different for each of us.

Graphics suck.

Games tend to be flashy and without substance, much unlike the original ninja gaiden!

Shinobi: poor graphics by todays standard, but has the best gameplay on any modern console.

Not having been here, I will have to rely on the power of PT3MLTM (ParaTheo-MetaMystical Markup Language) to answer your question:

<obscure_mystical_guru>Once we were all stupid, in the time before time, in the mind before mind. We were all stupid until it rained. The rain cleansed our eyes and we saw the truth. Sometimes it just rains.</obscure_mystical_guru>

Yeah, and it sucks to be you.  You'll always know that you're singing the blues without paying your dues.  It's like you got called a Marine without having to go through Marine basic training.
