PD may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds.  If PD splits open, do not look directly at resulting goo.  PD is still legal in 14 states.

I have been Doing The Work, but I have not been doing it here or reporting it back because being employed full time is more of a time sink than I was really prepared for. Don't get me wrong, I love the job, it's just hours of the day I can't spend running around.

Near every page of Holy Nonsense has been posted around my town and many of the surrounding. I distributed a ridiculous number of pope cards at Boston Pride. I'm trying to get my shit together to do a children's unit on Discordianism at the local UU church. And it does bring me joy to see my seeds sprouting. Does it build community? Not in the sense that I'm getting people to join my cult, but it is making the neighborhood someplace that people expect art and self expression to be in. Unsterilizing the world is holy to me.

A better question might be how does this space become somewhere we can stick apart meaningfully. There were good old days where a lot more discussion and creation was taking place here. Enshitification hasn't hit us the same way that it hit places that Need To Appease The Shareholders, but I think we are all a little more stretched thin and have less time and energy to bring what we're doing back to the class. Or maybe we're getting old and new folks need to make spaces that we won't understand and can't participate in. I don't know. I do know I'm not dead yet and I'm gonna keep sticking things on lamp posts.

I do not, and I am too far away to be much use, but I would hate for a Florida or Florida-adjacent n00b to see this thread and think "oh well I guess I shouldn't because..."

Quote from: Sophia the Altered on July 13, 2024, 05:23:43 AMDo you think us Eristocrats can volunteer as well?  :)  :fnord:

Malaclypse the Younger, K.S.C., proclaimed, "We Discordians must all stick apart."

So, we as individuals can certainly volunteer. But, being the decentralized religion that we are, and the condition we are in, I don't expect to see any 'boots on the ground,' as would be the case with organized resistance cells.

Hail Eris!

Fuck that, go and do it anyway. The FSM people pass the religious sniff test and they have half the history and documentation we do.

I pope-d the shit outta pride. I'm wildly overextended but accomplishing most of the things. We live in dread of November. Our hearts are full of piercings.

Cops can be bastards AND occasionally act appropriately. These things are not in conflict. In fact, it's much easier for the system to perpetuate itself as long as there are people who are behaving correctly in difficult situations.

I don't like cops killing people, I don't like anyone killing people, I'm also not a virtue driven moron who thinks that no conflict is ever doomed to end in death, or that my enemies are incapable of making the right decision sometimes just because they make the wrong ones so often.

It's for Whole Foods, who is owned by the #1 company in Soul Crushing. Customers there also treat you like shit. I feel like I'm about to snap about every god damn minute.

Ah, yeah that blows some serious chunks.

Time is going by too fast. I'm about to turn 20 and have fuck all to show for it, Summer decided to fly by, and I have no idea what my next move in life is.
I really don't want to be stuck at this supermarket janitorial job until I die.
I guess not everyone gets to have fun, though. Somebody's life has to be a boring shithole.
And transes aren't allowed to be happy anyway

Defining yourself by what you do for money is your first mistake.
I mean yeah, but it takes up most of my time and pretty much dictates how I live, so it really defines my life at the moment.
The American Dream, baby.

I know folks in janitorial jobs who have great work/life balance and are extremely happy with their careers. What is it about your current gig that's preventing you from having that?

I just got over influenza A and boy are my guts tired.

Glad you're feeling less shitty

How have you not been shot to death what the fuck?
I could never pull this shit off. I'm far too autistic and have way too much crazy-eye going on. I'm the type of person people are extra nice too after a shooting happens

Well, for starters I suspect I am older than you. Old age and treachery will get you a lot further than youth and autism optimism. I recommend tabletop and live action roleplaying until your mask improves.

First week at the new place! They might be fucking me on taxes but otherwise looking good. Had some time and energy to do some flyering, including putting Two Weeks up at the intersection in front of my old job, because I am a petty bitch sometimes always.

In some ways, that's kind of what Holy Nonsense is doing. I've been called "not a real Discordian" plenty of times for the shit I included there.

Not wanting to have kids is fine.

Not wanting people to feel pressured to have kids is fine.

Being shitty to people for having kids is cabbage behavior.
