Principia Discussion / Ask Your Eris?
May 02, 2005, 08:12:47 PM
I've probed into it a bit, in the last week, so far nothing completely astounding has come up . . . I've learned some creepy things about myself and realized some things about other people I know that I should have and didn't, but no amazing insights into the world or universe that wouldn't sound like something from a hallmark card . . .

Anyone here ever tried accessing their 'inner Eris'?

Or more specifically, has anyone ever tried contacting their unconscious mind via the excercise RAW puts forward in the second half of Prometheus Rising?

But everything IS true - and nothing is true . . . that's the best part about the "satire".

Every book is fiction, even text books.

I don't know that I fully agree with you . . . the appendixes are not exactly light reading, and they don't really tell you a lot that wasn't already explained somewhere in the story.

I guess as I see it, Illuminatus is the encyclopedia, you just need to weed out the important shit from the farce . . . or maybe the farce is the important shit . . . or maybe the important shit is farce . . . or maybe its all important . . . or maybe its all farce.

I don't know what I'm going on about anymore.

He's new, he's not horab yet,

I understood what was written - but why EVIL?  Evil to me is more like John Grisham . . . or those Chicken Soup for the Soul thingies . . . or Harry Potter.

Really?  But that's where it all comes together - that's where almost all the lessons are learned . . .  please tell me you read the appendixes?

What exactly is it that has lost your interest?

The first time I read it I got a bit bored toward the end, the second time I read it the end was my favourite part - it'll take a couple months to permeate your brain.

What made you think parts had been cut out?  I know that some was 'lost' on its way to the publisher, or so the story goes, but I've never heard of any being cut.

I think . . .

Maybe?

Principia Discussion / Greg Hill??? real?
April 19, 2005, 05:00:01 PM
Not sure if there is a thread on this already, but I was wondering if people know much about Gregory Hill?

I've noticed that I havent been able to find a single picture of him on the internet, whereas I can find several of Kerry Thornley.

Also, Malaclypse the Younger is mentioned several times in Illuminatus as having dissapeared into the ocean, or going to start the ELF . . .

Also also - Kerry Thornley and RAW had a falling out in the 70s when Thornley thought he was working for the CIA, but I never read what Gregory Hill thought about it, or whether Hill and Thornley were still talking at that point.

So . . . does Gregory Hill even exist?  Or is his 'real' name Robert Anton Wilson?
