OMFG. They just banned heavy metal in schools here. Bracelets, band t-shirts, necklaces, music. It's banned now. :lulz: They didn't ban chalga music tough. I think chalga music is far worse( a bulgarian pop thing mixed with folk elements). It teaches the girls it's good to be a slut, and the guys, that it's good to treat girls like sluts. An example is a text from a bulgarian chalga song trabslated
I want you to be a toy for my birthday
I want to be on the sheets with you
I will use you just for one day
I will drink every last drop from you
All I want from your body is sex
Give it to me in my hands,
Give me the heart, play with it
I want your strong hands to be ripping apart my flesh
I want to kiss you 'till I go insane
I don't want to think for anyone but you
I will drink every last drop from you
All I want from your body is sex
Give it to me in my hands,
Give me the heart, play with it
Now go tell me that heavy metal is perverting the youth! :argh!: Well atleast I still have gore grind to listen to. :lulz:

Outfuckingstanding!
Why the fuck are you living in Bulgaria? At the present rate of "progress", it's only a matter of time before you get in another fight with the Holy Roman Empire.
It's probably because that's where he's from.

I was born in Ann Arbor. You'll notice I didn't stick around.
Ann Arbor is still in the US. A Bulgarian can't leave Bulgaria (legally) without the same amount of red tape it takes one of us to leave the country.

I can leave America with no red tape at all. Getting back in is another story.
I plan on leaving and going to uni somewhere else, but I am still in high-school, so I have to stik around. Moving to another country isn't easy though. And with the low wages here my only hope is sholarship. I know I can get it. I am smarter than the retards here, and I know a lot of retards who got scholarship.

It's a front for an unholy fertility cult. Purge them with fire.
That sucks. You should move to Sweden or Finland.

Maybe there's already too much lead in the paint.
Makes me angry.
What's the point of Bulgaria being in the European Union if the b. government can randomly outlaw music/clothing styles? The EU should come and kick them in the nuts. But i think, once more, they don't care for such things.
I wish you good luck for your education.

We're so heavy metal they'll soon ban short hair over here.
WTF! Banning long hair? But long hair is pretty, PREETTTTYYY! That's way too stupid. And the metal kids just chat about normal teenage stuff Gutsfucking etc, they don't do, it's just a trend.
Yeah and those song lyrics are pretty tacky.
So, a smart and maybe unfortunate cookie eh, FIGHT DA POWA

Yeah what the fuck are they thinking, those Bulgarians, being in the EU and doing all sorts of repressive shit, they should take an example to the UK and Italy, it's all freedom and peaches there.

If it wasn't for the fact that the damage done by slutty American pop stars to your culture is pretty blatant, and you told me what the lyrics are, I'd think the song was pretty catchy, because I like the folk tone to it.
Quote from: ke7inn on August 24, 2009, 01:09:56 PM
Haha, it funny, they clearly don't get teenagers over there. What was a fad which most of them would of got out of after a few years will now be ingrained in them purely out of resentment. Next thing we'll hear how daddy Bulgaria has put a curfew on ye all and no video games before homework, then mommy Bulgaria is going to go to a shopping mall to pick up some "nice clothes" so you can meet a "nice" girl...etc
Parents just don't understand.
:fresh:
Heavy Metal Ban. Isn't that like antiperspirant with extra aluminum?
That blows, glad I didn't have to deal with that crap when I was in highschool, the only thing they banned at my highschool was the usual of "guns, drugs, gang colors, and kissing in the hallways (fucking utah)
What skeleton said, plus no piercings other than earrings on a girl, no long hair (unless you were Sheik or Native American), and if you were Hmong, being in groups of larger than ten.
Also, that really sucks. Horray censorship! You're not even allowed to talk about it? Yeesh.

I think they banned guns and drugs. Not sure anyone paid attention. You were allowed to smoke outdoors at lunchtime, if you were an upperclassman.

Yes, the US. The heartland of sunny California specifically.
Right around the time they actually were doing that (it was never official, of course), there were problems with the Laotian Bloods on the other side of the city. And apparently Laotians are the same as the Hmong. :? Anyway, there would be twelve of them standing around and this one guy would race up to them in his little golf cart and break them up. I suspect parents complained towards the end of that school year, because it stopped in 2005.
