Post by: Eldora, Oracle of Alchemy on March 03, 2005, 07:11:08 PM
This should have been posted on Veteran's day, but I wasn't here.  I will try to bump it at the end of April.  btw, it is a song in my head

Not at liberty to say

Honey what happened in Cambodia
Not at liberty to say
But that war was over a long time ago
It's still classified to this day

Honey I watched a show on cable
It was about the Fall of Saigon
Did you land on the roof of the CIA safe house
Or on the Embassy lawn

It was his first look of surprize
Then he got a frown between his eyes
I'd just learned more from a 2 hour show
Than from years standing by his side

Not at liberty to say
Not at liberty to say
That's classified information
Not at liberty to say

There's one thing he can tell me
Helicopters glide like rocks
That thing on the top is a rotary wing
and when it stops, the copter drops

He learned of this first hand
In a very foreign land
They shot him in the knee
But it gave him a nose bleed

Well the enemy killed all the passengers
And I know it sounds selfish of me
But I'm just real glad the guys sat on their helmets
And he only got shot in the knee

Not at liberty to say
Not at liberty to say
That's classified information
Not at liberty to say

Don't tell his mom I wrote this song
She doesn't think he was in 'Nam
I don't know where she thinks he was
But it would be a sweeter song

I'm not at liberty to say
He's not at liberty to say
That's classified information
We're not at liberty to say

And since it is after midnight, I want to take this chance to thank all of our veterans for serving our country.  Especially those that are not here, because they served a little too well.

As far as I know, my uncle Bobby, my aunt's first ex husband, did the same thing.

And I tried to find a link to the Crankshaft comic in the Sunday paper, but I couldn't find it, weird.  If someone has a scanner, scan it please?

War = Very Late Term Abortion

I never understood why a woman would think it wrong to kill a child in her womb but that it was perfectly okay, honorable even, to let him get sent to die far away in someone else's war, after he grew up.

He's still just as dead either way, right?

So what's the fucking difference?

After all, how much guts does it take to bash someone's creative efforts on an anonymous forum?

You're pretty typical of the average American.

heres some banality right back atcha

you CANT be both a pirate and a maker of dirty thoughts at the same time
you see, pirate comes from two latin words "pir" meaning "person who is unable" and "ate" meaning "to make other people think dirty thoughts, even if theyre in their mind" (yes, it really means all that)

ill thank you to question neither my integrity nor my sources

Lice usually ARE comfortable, whenever they can find a host that doesn't make too much of an effort to shake them off.

Which is why you post here.  Most people will just ignore you, or put up with your shit in a misguided effort to be "tolerant" of your nasty little habits.

You're a piece of shit, dude.  You contribute nothing, and do whatever you can to discourage any attempts at creativity.

but not a pirate, of course

you know, i made a pact with someone from high school that if we arent pirates by the 10th reunion, we will commandeer the best-looking ship we can find that isnt filled with muscle-bound inhabitants and plunder the great lakes (with me as the captain, of course.  i already have the hat, you see)

I have prety strong evidence that Aini is, in fact, a real person and is not one of us pulling a most masterful troll job.

Unfortunately, I promised I wouldn't share with the rest of the class, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

anyway, I bet I touch myself much more often than Aini does.

This has all been very confusing for me.  I appreciate people taking my side, only I am not sure it was my side.  I appreciate them standing up for my poetry, but I am not sure it was that either.  It seems hotsuma's remark was the last straw on some camel's back.  I wrote this for my hubby.  He liked it better than my other poems, which is equivilant to saying Turd liked it better than my other poems.  You guys can have your fight, but I will always appreciate that hotsuma likes my crappy poetry when no one else does.
