QuoteOverview:
Ultimate Tazerball, from here on referred to as UTB, is a 4 on 4 action sport involving a 200' x 85' rectangular playing field,
with one ball, 2 goals at opposing ends, and 8 Tazer apparatus. The following will be a detailed rulebook, covering on
field play, safety regulations, equipment requirements, field regulation, and general player conduct, among other things.
The Ultimate Tazerball league, conceived of by Leif Kellenberger, has been developed in conjunction with several industry
partners (Erik Wunsch & Eric Prum) in order to bring a new, action packed team sport to the forefront of extreme sport.
UTB incorporates 20th century technolgy with team strategy in an action packed game. UTB is a high-octane experience
for both the participating athletes and spectators.
This is legit. I'm kind of in awe.
They're seriously tazing each other while running around with an oversized air soccer ball. Wow. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E38G31wo7qc (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E38G31wo7qc)
:lulz:
sometimes, i really love people.
Wow.
Needs less shit talking and more footage.
This is the kind of thing I picture when I think about sports I might potentially care about if I cared about sports. Football, for example, would be much improved with tazers. And deadfalls. And giant flames that burst out of the ground at random intervals. Maybe the occasional jaguar let loose on the field.
Wow

Indeed, also none of that "epic" music, but screams of the players and the sound of an audience cheering. Maybe an edited-in BZZZT so you can hear when a tazer is used.
Also I wonder, but a good tactic--if it's allowed--would be taping or strapping the tazer to the top of your wrist, making it pressure-activated so it'll taze anyone you press your underarm against. At least attaching some cord or elastic because I imagine if you get tazed you drop whatever you're holding.
I am all for this, as a spectator sport.

YES
that's why this spring I'm starting a Jugger league (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jugger)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL87eo2Irto&feature=fvwrel
Wow that looks awesome, shame there isn't a league here, but next time I'm in one of the cities that has a league I'm def going to check it out
(or I'll just force some friends to play)
Cooool. Also that video was WAY more informative than the Wikipedia page. Actually the page about the Jugger movie is more informative on the Game, even :) [at least for getting a quick idea of what it's like]
Also I'm beginning to understand the difference between German and US LARPers you mentioned, seeing that video I was all like, that doesn't look like pics I've seen of (US) LARPs ..
I need to look up that movie too, I think :lulz:

this is probably a good one-stop explanation about jugger, with video: http://larpohio.blogspot.com/2010/07/youtube-thursday-jugger.html
the American rules for how to make the chain weapon: http://larpohio.blogspot.com/2010/10/how-to-jugging-chain.html
the entire sport is based on this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6qckMHp7wU
These are all worthy attempts to improve the sporting landscape, but I won't be satisfied until there's an American Professional Buzkashi League.

Dude, I would play the shit out of this game! Though, I like the more brutal version in the video in your previous post.
