Giving of a gift is always for the giver, as it is usually something one does to make themselves feel better (by way of making others feel better).
Now whether it is also for the giftee or not depends on if the person honestly thought it would be something well recieved.
Or if they are using it as something in which to have for leverage later ("well I've given you all this stuff and all I'm asking is for this one thing....")

The department is still developing a training and deployment program, but expects to have the first weapons in service by Thanksgiving.

I was glad for the description of panko, as I have never heard of it before.
Certainly wouldn't call it a commonplace word.

My husband has had very little problem with Windows 8. And he very often runs multiple programs at once.
He also rarely uses the start screen/menu/whatever it's called. Everything he gets to from the desktop.
Also has no touch screen, it's just a regular pc and monitor.

Don't know why some people have such troubles

What I got from that is just that they don't mind the commercials that those companies put on tv. Not anything about the companies themselves.

It's a parent's group that wants anything remotely PG-13 to be on tv only after 8pm (because most kids are in bed by that time)

That's my understanding of them at least.

I'll readily admit that I'm glad the kid is going back to school next week.
Not only is it giving him more of a chance to be social (there is no kids his age at the complex) but it also gives me a bit of a breather.

Between the Shrek-like look, the fact that were actually, purposely created and now I hear there's no pizza loving or Mikey catchphrase? (I can understand if they didn't want to use cowabunga, the new cartoon has booyakasha, they could come up with something) it's just wrong.

There's lots of easter eggs to nostalgia fans, but this isn't that stupid 90's cartoon. It's not as good as the 90's original movie because that movie has closure, and you got the full revenge story in one setting. This new release felt too short, but I guess it's fitting since they want to crank out a sequel, and will go into more of the new IDW comics, and Nickelodeon reboot.

In the movie they mention a magical alchemist in a old japanese legend who create a elixir/water of great power. I'm going to assume it's Krang and his mutagen. In the IDW comics reboot the "Iron Demon" (Krang) made a bargain with the Oroku Saki to serve him in exchange for the mutagen to extend his life. Saki betrays him, and sends him back to hell (Dimension X gateway), and steals the mutagen for himself.

They do say cowabunga, and they tie in with April O neil with the turtles, and Splinter is amazing.

If you want to see a Revenge story with a dysfunctional family trying to find their place in the world then go ahead, and take a chance. There's totally sequels in mind.

When it comes to fighting Splinter totally outclasses his sons, but he is old as fuck.

So less of the campiness of the original cartoons, but more like the cartoons from the 20003 and the new ones? Can handle that.
