Heh.
Jackboots are so passe, now that we have the whoopie stick.
They really need to put quotes on "non-lethal." You give these guys a tazer and they think they can zap the hell out of anyone they want because it's "non-lethal." Next thing you know we got a bunch of dead kids and seniors. We should just give these trigger-happy tough guys nerf guns until they learn to use better judgment...

This ain't gonna be your century. :lulz:
What I really don't understand is what kind of steroids were these ten year olds on that they couldn't overpower them without a weapon.
Cops-
Revenge of the nerds...
A friend of mine is a cop in the Peel Police (Roger, you understand that I'm sure)... he was telling me a few weeks ago about having to taze an 80 year old man so he could handcuff him.
I asked him why he felt it necessary to taze this old man, and his serious response was (I shit you not): "I didn't want to hurt him."
I think that says it all.

My cousin was Peel police. That wasn't jackboot enough for him, so he ran off to the OPP.

I think it's quite cute that you think a
quotation mark is going to stop the police from zapping the fuck out of someone.
:x My boy is ten. He's the size of Roger's arm. Why the hell would an adult taze a ten-year-old? That should be a criminal offense.

Apparently, these kids had the wrong values. These sorts of things happen to people with the wrong values.

I don't know. They just really shouldn't call it non-lethal. It's giving these guys the wrong idea. As it is, a lot of them are just
itching for an excuse, and this whole non-lethal thing provides them one...

Technically, Taser markets their product as "less-lethal"
...
just sayin'
I predict this will REALLY hit the fan when one kid develops arythmia and the lawsuits begin to fly.
Personally I call it the right time to give your kids tasers. If the only way a cop can overpower a 10 year old is with the aid of 50,000 volts then I reckon it's high time we level the playing field cos the copper deserves to get his ass handed to him on a plate by said minor and I'll do what it takes to make sure that happens. Lets face it, my taxes are paying for these useless fucks to make sure my property is safe and I don't get raped at night when I'm taking the dog for a walk. If they can't handle a small child then they deserve to be crippled or killed by said infant. I aint running a fucking charity here :argh!:

THIS. When parents start complaining and when the AARfuckingP gets off its hoary ol' ass enough to vote and complain, tasing will be lessened and then hopefully nonexistant. Get some legislator to bailiwick the cause, and some press to dig up horror stories, and there you go. Anti-tasing campaign.
But as long as it's just the poor and the "criminals" getting tased, no one will give a fuck, and meanwhile, "Don't Tase Me, Bro!" will just continue on as a horrormirthy popart tagline.
Yeah, that and it will make insurance go NUTS
Imagine how these kids are going to view police from now on... :lulz:

Perhaps superficially, but i'm guessing the number of incidents of patrol car tyres slashed, and doors painted with swastikas in spray adhesive will go up with this type of behavior

Some. Others will get pissed.

Anything you want, they're lying on the ground twitching.
A: Progress.
It's fairly easy to tell who has kids and who doesn't, ITT.
When I have kids, I'm not gonna wait for a police officer to taze them.
RCH: Junior, go to your room.
Junior: No! You can't make me!
RCH: Oh yes I can...ZZZZAP!
Junior: (incoherent and barely audible sounds of compliance)
When I have kids, I'm going to force them to walk around in aluminium clothing.
Sure, the other kids and people in general will laugh at them, but when they manage to get away unscatched from a police officer trying to tase them, then we'll see who's laughing.

Mister Tripzip has won the right to live in a world in which 10 year olds are tazed! What's more, he gets to live in a world in which that is simply one data point in a downward-trending graph!*crowd oohs and ahhhs, Applause light comes on*

Mark another for Officer Friendly....
http://www.theindychannel.com/news/23017669/detail.html
QuoteA news release from the mayor's office and the Martinsville Police Department said the officers responded Tuesday evening to Tender Teddies Day Care on reports of a 10-year-old who was out of control.
The release said that the officers, trying to prevent the child from hurting other children, staff members and himself, slapped the boy and then used a Taser to subdue him.
heh.... 'Tender Teddies'....
It gets better and better.
The fact that it happened in Martinsville doesn't suprise me that much. That place is a shit hole. The kid probably didn't deserve to be tased though. If an officer can't take down a 10 year old without resorting to the taser then he shouldn't be an officer.

More and more, I think officers are mandated to slap the shit out of people and tase them. But that might be my cynical, jaded side rearing its ugly head again.
Could be worse, could be Riverside fucking County, CA, and they'd just OPEN FIRE on the preschool. You know, to keep the peace.

This. Those officers should count themselves lucky they're not having to arrest Iraqi children. They'd end up being beheaded and the video uploaded to Youtube. And don't even get me started on what Ugandan children would do...
Hrmmm, I guess the Firesign reference was too vague :(
