cool stuff - I'd not heard of oculus medium but I am slowly learning Gravity Sketch and I'm absolutely enthralled with it.  I've used it to make a few worlds in Altspace and I can't get over how well it works.

It does seem the healthcare sector is warming up to VR the fastest.  There's a weekly meetup in Altspace (do I maybe spend too much time in altspace, oh probably . . .) on Thursdays called Health Systems chat.  If you haven't been it may be a good networking opportunity for you.

Here's a couple worlds I've made if you're interested in checking them out:

I saw a sign for a "free church" and i thought to myself, "if i spend a couple bucks maybe i'll have a better experience?" - I wonder if there's a discount church?

eternal salvation sounds pretty good, but i'd be more interested if there was a 90 day limited trial offer with satisfaction guaranteed or double your money back.

Any of you yahoos monkey around in VR?

I got a headset about 8 months ago - the games are quite impressive, but I'm not really much of a gamer.

What I've really become enamored with is Altspace (some prefer VRChat, but there's too many squeakers in there for me)

There's some genuinely interesting folks that hang out in there and you can build your own worlds if that's your thing.

There's also some other more interesting things that happen - the story of the black robots being one of them.

anyhow - just wondering if i might run in to a PD'er in there some day.  I was thinking about making a Chapel Perilous world, but it would be fun to collaborate.

I bet even that brood of cicadas due to emerge in a few months will be, like, super aggressive. Maul some raccoons and shit, or whatever eats cicadas, I dunno.

MURDER HORNETS CICADAS!!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IvpFDHmcN4 -- Reminds me of old Slipknot but with songwriters worth a damn -- All Hope is Gone-era reinterpreting Iowa-era, basically. Just constant aggression.

A+ on the vocals.  i keep expecting this to break into something like you know what you are

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh3GwkoIBSE -- /Actually/ mixes nu metal and death metal. Not what people think of when they think of death metal in the context of nu metal at all -- it's got weird Morbid Angel elements, odd gothic metal flourishes in the riffs, true death metal vocals, midpaced skank beats, the works, basically your standard 90s death metal stuff. It just also has hip-hop flow, bounce riffing, turntables, build-up/freakout songwriting sections, crazy bass presence... It's a hell of a weird mixture. Oh, that reminds me!

some napalm death-ish riffs in there reminded me of this

but then i was like - wait, is he gonna start singing Entombed??

don't really care for the nu-metal stuff - but, hey, i'm old.  a lot of it was like going right back to high school.  astute description
