A lot of the broken links links and stuff were old free hosting sites. Its something I should have forseen way back when.
Part of the small amount of stuff I've been doing over the last few years is trying to properly index resources (as inspired by Rev Judas Massive reading repository).
A more permanent solution would be if I offered An FTP folder for use or enabled attachments for this forum that point to a readable folder that can be easily linked to/copied etc. (or even a file management webpanel).
Would something like this be of interest?
I would certainly be interested. I know one of the major issues with comprehensive collections is that they're always missing something so some other nit will make their own comprehensive collection until you end up with a million versions half full of crap just for the sake of completeness, but not really sure if there is any way around that one. Nature of the beast and all.
I'd be willing to get my stuff off of a medium that may vanish if I'm suddenly fired for keeping a lot of silly and subversive stuff on company computers (for example).
I've enabled attachments, they are listed on the reply screen under "Attachments and other options".
If using them is inconvenient dont worry about em, but they wont expire the way free file and hosts do.
LMNO, I'll set up an FTP account tomorrow evening if you want to bulk store stuff, and anyone else who needs one I can set it up.

Obviously this assumption was fallacious/unjustified. 1 person =/= most other people
I was trying to portray what I've bolded in your post with the dip-spit reference (Lie, I don't spit or dip), but alas, my first assumption allowed me to leave out the necessary background info.
I actually forget if the plurality of this forum's population resides in the United States. I might be able to more appropriately gear my references at local behaviors to this audience with such information.

I never understood the negative connotation associated with the word pedantic. Pedantic writing is so organized, it's impossible to fuck up. At least for me, the way I think about the things I read. It helps keep me focused when I read. If I'm reading a long message from one of my friends who dips, I lose interest after a few lines because, well, there's no organization of thought.
