No, but we'll still have a "legacy" force left behind like we do everyotherfuckingplace we've been to.  WHY we are still in Germany, etc.

Because the Germans are kind enough to let us use their airbase?

Technically Rammstein is a NATO base, not just a US base. And other countries have "legacy" bases in former holdings as well. France and the UK being the most guilty. I was also on base for a while that housed a bunch of guys from the French Foreign Legion right here in the states. What a lovely bunch those are.

Landstuhl and Kaiserslautern too.
US is pretty invested in germany.

I really wonder what the republicans have to gain by fighting the census.

I don't think that the average republican is against the census....

I agree.

I don't.  I have faith that the sheer stupidity of republicans approaches an infinite value.

This. They've already kicked the intelligence boulder down the cliff,
Right now they are watching it roll, hoping it gains sufficient momentum
What do they hope to gain?

(edit. maybe It should be the stupidity boulder)

Hmmmm you're probably right, it might refer to that here as well. I don't usually participate in those betting games because I don't follow sports.

Its not always sports related, for example at my job, the kitchen guys usually take bets on how many covers we're going to do on a given night.

we used to do that every payday. Kitchen and waitstaff would put in $20 each, closest without going over wins. Winner would usually clock $200 - $240. Not a bad payday bonus.

I havent tried to jump in on that pool, nor have I tried to instigate a new one...
Although, If I am there next bastille day, I will.

I'm starting to think that the best chance for running a game on this forum is using a system that allows for player authorship.
We'd probably be able to run a sweet Inspectres game, for example.

This is pretty fucking sweet.
Think of this, say, in comparison to Eskrima.
If the English during that period had to resist foreign invaders over 200 years...  :cn:
they might be able to touch the Filipino stick art.
...

don't even bring up knives.
I would never test in the Philippines.

yeah basically you got this tournament schedule, as in the pic Suu posted, and then you try to predict the way it goes.

still not entirely sure which part of it is the "bracket", in Dutch we call this betting game a "pool". come to think of it, bracket and pool might refer to the same thing. which is, the group of teams that a particular team is going to play against in the tournament, depending on how the schedule goes.

In the States a Pool refers to any bet taken amongst a large group of people, as in "everybody pools their money".

I had to reinstall a few weeks ago because of a bad Vundo infestation.
Sometimes its possible to rip the shit off your computer, but sometimes... you just have to bite teh bullet and reinstall.
Which is why people will tell you to back up your important data, always.

(also, I think that Teenage Bad Girl is bad-ass)

So now that the baby-killing death-panel bill passed, can it be rapture time?

Heh... I got halfway through that, thinking that you had probably written it, and thought
"this reads like e.e. cumings"

I like e.e. cumings.

Likewise my only real regret in life was selling my amplifier (had a beautiful Marshall stack) years ago for rent money.
I'm just beginning to rectify that mistake.

Oh Dimo, I'd be interested in hearing your band... do you guys have any recorded material, or anything on the net?
If you ever wanted to set up a show in my town, I might be able to put you in touch with the right people.
