Incidentally, I suppose that being discreet includes public demonstrations of affection. Reminds me of all the discreet gay peoplecannot embrace in public...while heterosexual couples are welcome to do what the fuck the want.
I suppose it is their fault that they do not live all in the right district of the right city.

Yes, but if you admit that there are undeniable reasons for granting somebody asylum then all those terrible foreigners who want to come and suck your well-ordered and prosperous country dry (and destroy the culture of your forefathers' forefathers) will simply, you know, pretend that those reasons apply to them.

Q: Why does a J00 always answer a question with another question?
A: Why should a J00 not answer a question with another question?

(or words to that effect)

WTF is with this "us" bullshit?

I don't remember signing up for anything :argh!:

I just remembered that I haven't either but that feeling as if I had can be very persistent at times.

(this is really not a rant and should not be here but i think of it as the second part of the rat mind text  so i hope you won't mind too much)

Trivia are what is beyond your notice. The difference between "beyond" and beneath" is important. It is determined by your overall filters for reality, which is determined by the same filters, or rules of the game as you know them. In order to learn more you will have to cheat yourself and you are already too good at it.

You might want to reconsider what you say about yourself in circumstances and to people you regard as trivial. Things that were said just so, were said dismissively are things that your control instances did not bother for long with.

The only certain property of "now" is that it is the time during which you exercise control over your life. In order to learn more you will have to cheat yourself and you are already too good at it.

Deductive description via viewing what surrounds your object can clarify matters. "Now" is embedded in time, the ghost of a moment wedged in between not any more and not yet.
In order to learn more you will have to cheat yourself and you are already too good at it.

Your view of the past is already corrupted. An analysis of the future as represented by your wishes however is a reliable way to determine where you are "now", if you keep to the trivial wishes.

Your reality is real and so is everything not covered by your set of rules.

In order to learn more you will have to cheat yourself and you are already too good at it. You really should use whatever it is you are good at.

Excuse me for being naive, but in what kind of bad trip do people walk up to strangers and tell them to smile???

Yep, Fritz and agreed ever since I first got high on Zarathustra.

I defy you to say that getting high isn't the natural first reaction to Zarathustra.

Nigel, you may have noticed that I mentioned size 0.

I admit that it is not 100% clear that I was bitching about fashionable persons.

Boiled oxtail (or whatever beef you want to use) with peanut butter sauce (use the broth to liquefy the butter). With rice/manioc/potatoes/pasta.

And I insist that if you read it you not know who it is first.

"We all place ourselves at various levels, and we are constantly falling from these heights. It is the falls we are ashamed of. Self-esteem is the cause of our shame, of our fall. It is this self-esteem that must be understood, and not the fall. If there is no pedestal on which you have put yourself, how can there be any fall? Why have you put yourself on a pedestal called self-esteem, human dignity, the ideal, and so on?

If you can understand this, then there will be no shame of the past; it will have completely gone. You will be what you are without the pedestal. If the pedestal is not there, the height that makes you look down or look up, then you are what you have always avoided. It is this avoidance of what is, of what you are, that brings about confusion and antagonism, shame and resentment. You do not have to tell me or another what you are, but be laware of what you are, whatever it is, pleasant or unpleasant: live with it without justifying or resisting it. Live with it without naming it; for the very term is a condemnation or an identification. Live with it without fear, for fear prevents communion, and without communion you cannot live with it. To be in communion is to love. Without love, you cannot wipe out the past; with love, there is no past. "

Are you (I suppose you picked the quote because you agree) advocating self-awareness without judgement?

I would agree but for the little catch that judgement (as in: not over- or underestimating your abilities) is part of awareness. And what is that about wiping out the past? Is every kind of past automatically a burden?

Before this thread gets too vegetarian, do you guys eat entrails? I like them and they are cheap over here so I have many many nice recipes (even real ones, with quantities and times and such;-)
