to whom it may concern:

ive never been much of a duck and cover kind of guy
but
when Complexitron caught wind that i was lurking around his hood
he got PISSED

i had to duck and cover my way out

plus i was wearing a pink shirt that day


if it wasnt for a unforeseen and unprovoked attack by Administrator and a couple of his thugs - i wouldn't have even been in the situation in the first place

the bottom line was: Administrator was up to some bad shit, and the only way i could look after it was by retrieving a sub-miniature component located deep in Complexitron's main factory

anyway - to make a long story short - i didnt grab it this time around

maybe next time



in a recent fan letter - one youngster asked me how i handle failures like these

well young man - it might be considered a little hard on yourself to view these types of un-successes as failure

best thing to do is head back to the lab and re-group - maybe consult some of the others around for some insights or strategies - and then head back out and dive into the mix again

see: something that needs to be done will always need to be done until its done

i know we live in a place where we use time to threaten ourselves and others
but
anything with a clock-related deadline is just another trick

Plan A might be 'get it done by Monday at noon'
but Plan B is always 'get it done ASAP'


lesser villains could possibly be dealt with like clockwork
but
when youre dealing with SUPER-Villains, its just not reasonable to think that they can be thwarted according to some sort of time schedule

i have given it much thought

and i still dont really know what to think



sexual tendencies are one issue

the widespread rise of illness in general is another separate but related issue


maybe immunity and intelligence are related

something about that 'study' and those 'findings' seem a bit ridiculous

i dont know if i enjoyed it but i read the whole thing and would prolly read more if it was posted


reading this reminded me of when i accidentally started watching the sopranos and was subsequently forced to watch the entire show by unseen and unidentified forces

but it can result in the repeated performance of an action

there seems to be no good alternative on this planet at this time

a cover determines whether you want to approach something or whether you want to avoid something

accordingly
a intelligent author puts as much effort into the presentation as the content warrants

if you cant judge a book by its cover - then what in the hell else can you possibly judge it by?

can either be a reason to embark on a quest
or
a reason to whine and complain throughout eternity



(if 'nobody understands', it is quite possible that you may also be doing something wrong)

it seems that the only real crime is disrespect


and it always gets punished eventually

the only thing that seems to keep making itself apparent is that anything of any consequence or satisfaction seems to come at the result of tremendous effort

im not talking about performing slave labor
but
im sayin that it may literally be impossible to do anything satisfying with half-ass effort because to a good degree - the joy is in the aim


relating back to the prank perspective

im sure that is one way to get something accomplished - but it cant be any type of lame ass prank that will result in anything of consequence


im sure there are a billion taoist and buddhist books that say the same thing
but
i do recollect at some point in hagakure where it said something along the lines of every direction being 'a Way'

in this regard
the way of the samurai
is just as legitimate as the way of the prankster



and every Way seems to consist of more effort than most people are willing to make


i have no idea whether what i just wrote is coherent or not

im rusty in the Way of the forum poster

speaking of that - it seems that a lot of it has to do with the particular faculty there at any given time

web forums could be a trap too - depending on where you are enrolled )

psychologically speaking -

a lot of 'common sense' things seem to be traps

the 'old wisdom'

"you cant judge a book by its cover" mentality
"absence makes the heart grow fonder" mentality
"familiarity breeds contempt" mentality
"you cant teach a old dog new tricks" mentality


hear this kind of nonsense so much and in such unassuming circumstances that you start really taking it as some sort of truth

i giggled in my head


but
maybe its just because its early
