Two vast and trunkless legs of stone / CNN
January 04, 2009, 03:08:26 PM
I was watching CNN sunday morning a few minutes ago and Betty Nguyen was "interviewing" a very bright palestinian women.   It was a total sham of an interview.  Betty Nguyen kept on repeating Israeli propaganda completley ignoring what the Palestinian women was saying.  it was sickening to see.  The palestinian women actually laughed at Betty Nguyen because she recognized the sham of an interview too...

This palestinian brought up the fact that Hamas did maintain the ceasefire even though Israel controlled everything going in and out of Gaza, while continuing to kill/displace palestians with impunity in the west bank......  Apparantly it is pretty hard to maintain a decent quality of life when the israelis control what goes into your country, and who and what tracel on your own roads.

Anyway, I'm just very annoyed at this Betty Nguyen character.  I wish they would have allowed this palestinian women to confront the Israeli offical that Betty Nguyen was sitting beside shmoozing with.

It really was sickening to see, especially when Betty Nguyen allowed the Israelli to respond to the palestinian and completely mis-use everything she just said.

:argh!: CNN.

Public servants do not deserve fan boys and girls.
I just realized today that each time one of these public servants decides to give a speech, the crowd is full of fan boys and girls.  Is this really how our civic duties should be conducted?  A crowd full of yes men and women cheering on their media whore?  it is pathetic.

I'd rather see a crowd full of people who each hold strong ideals, and hold close the belief in liberty and justice for all.  When you go to a public servants speech you shouldn't be able to tell that the crowd is full of fan boys and girls.  I'd rather see a crowd full of informed people who pay close attention to what is being said, people with a back bone, people who will be critical, and will force our public servants to be held accountable, not a crowd full of civillians wishing for an autograph of their favourite celebrity.  it is pathetic.

Though, I suppose I'm living in a pipe dream right now wanting this because there is no way it will happen with our current post modern society as it exists today.  it is pathetic.

I guess I'm really bitching about journalists not really being journalists, or the mainstream media not really being fair and balanced...  bah.  it is pathetic.

Or Kill Me / "Requiem for a Dream"
July 17, 2008, 02:00:01 AM
I just finished watching the film "Requiem for a Dream", and it has really upset me.   The main characters, as fucked up as they were, were only a little bit misguided in my opinion, hardly worth the amount of shit they ended up going through.
This film  pissed me off because there were some characters who weren't on drugs, yet were seriously fucked up as well.  The uncaring doctor that fucked up the guys mother, in less then 3 seconds.  The fact that the mother and her friends were  so trusting of a doctor.  (Doctors are supposed to give a damn about their patients aren't they?)..  And of course, those animals that dealt with the guys girlfriend.  It is such a sad movie, I'm not even going to go into how those two guys were treated while in Florida, the docs first impression is to call the cops ASAP rather then helping the patient........   UGH..   (My friend, the one in the video I posted playing guitar, tells me, "If you have ever lived in Florida you would understand, it's the worst place in the world.")

My basic point is, this film shows me humanity, and it screams at me, telling me how sad we beings really are. :(
I want it to change, I want people to change,  I want drug addicts to get the guidance/support they need, (not just after the fact, but before as well) I just want a better place for people to grow up in.  A better place for us, a better place to experience each other...   Yet I am reminded, I am probably talking to similar people that were portrayed in "Requiem for a Dream" right now.  Ego driven, self satisfying, I will eat out your FUCKING heart out at a moments notice, if it will serve me type of people.  And you probably look at me as the same type of person, If not inferior...

I'm really sad right now, and I just wanted to get it off my chest that as long as I am reminded of this movie, I will be more aware of how people react to and perceive me...   Ugh.  People, they're killing me.

Or Kill Me / working class
May 30, 2008, 05:42:11 AM
Why must the working class guy be forced to keep the same job for his entire life?
He isn't, is he?  No he isn't, he can get another job, work hard there, start from the bottom and work his way up, just like he did in his previous job.
Back to my first question, why must he work the same job for his entire life?  For job security, a constant pay cheque, a small pay raise every so often, and even for a pension plan so he can at least live decently while no longer able to work.
So why should he continue working at a place thaat robs him of his dignity, a place that refuses to acknowledge his hard work? He shouldn't should he?  No he shouldn't.

Too many people do sacrifice their dignity in order to have that constant cheque, that pension plan, and so on, they're fucking morons.  These morons make it easy for those in charge to get away with not treating their employess with respect, they make it easy for them to get away with robbing someone of their dignity.
It isn't fair for those people who work hard for the company, who enjoy doing their job, while earning less then those who are employed to do the same job as you but work a lot less.

So what should the man do, request a raise, or just quit and move on to another job much like the ones prior?   He asks for the raise, and what happens to him.  He is told,  "You are hired to do what we tell you to do, you're fired."  This is what they can easily get away with.   They will work you like a dog, then shoot you dead once they realize you know you're being treated unfair.

:argh!:

What actually happened was, my dad worked for this place that picked up deadstock.  He would just work constantly for the day, and it turns out everyone else he worked with just fucked the dog all day long.  They didn't put in half the work he would.   That's fine, he only started to get annoyed when the dog fuckers would make up excuses for not wanting to work a "busy run" so they would give it to my dad to do.  Eventually my dad had enough of picking up other peoples slack and asked for a raise.  he said If I am going to be doing more work then everyone else, fine, let me always do it, but pay me for it.   They fired him.
A hard honest working man fired because he wouldn't put up with the fact that they were abusing him.

what was he supposed to do, be a dog fucker also? it isn't like him. be content with the paycheque and fuck dogs like everyone else?   meh...   I'm just pissed off that the company can get away with treating him like that.   and it isn't like he was there for only a few weeks, he was there for about a year, while this would go on before finally asking for a raise...

I'm pretty angry right now, and sad...
my dads "hurt" right now, as he put it, "I'm really hurt" about this...

:argh!:

I dont know tgrr but i think i could kill a motherfucker...

Two vast and trunkless legs of stone / ATTN: TGRR
April 22, 2008, 12:02:36 AM
Are you a working class man, have you become frustrated with economic conditions?

It's not surprising that you are bitter, clinging to your religion or antipathy towards people who aren't like you,  it's a way to vent your frustrations.

It's ok TGRR we understand...

Or Kill Me / National Geographic
April 14, 2008, 01:44:29 AM
I am a voyeur, and for quite some time now (approximately six months=quite some time) I have had this one idea run through my mind, which is what I am about to share with you all.

I keep on thinking about a scenario where homeless people are given handguns and ammunition.  I would love to observe their actions once they acquire the weapon, and ammunition.

I'm not proud of myself for wanting to watch this either, it's hard for me to explain.  I must have just given up hope on humanity (and myself) for various reasons, and now I just want to use people for my own entertainment.   which is unfortunate.
