WHY DID YOU MAKE ME READ THAT?

Actually, I like this Yatto character. Although sometimes his posts are more comprehensible than other times.

Not like that fucking E.O.T., who posted something on my board the other day that I completely could not make heads nor tails of.

Actually even on the default theme I had to copy that into notepad.
Then I felt like a sucker because when I went to quote you it showed up in plain text.

I've met Yatto IRL, and he's a pretty solid dude. Thankfully, his spoken communication is much clearer than his written communication.

Hey I thought we sort of agreed to drop that subject. For your sake, even. Did you get bored of no longer being the centre of attention in a shitstorm or something?

Why do you say shit like this Nigel?

Did you feel the need to be clever and point out some sort of perceived hypocrisy? So do I, sometimes. And then I let it be. Because this board is not the center stage of your personal relations to whoever are here and most people don't fucking care. Why do you need to keep pushing these buttons Nigel? Do you so badly want people to become more annoyed with you?

and FWIW EOT's recent posts would be perfectly normal, when you remove the extra newlines and un-capitalize those two or three words. So I wonder, what makes him to keep using that format? I can think of nothing else, no other reason than "haa they asked me to stop, so I'm going to keep pushing the line to see how far I can go and keep being annoying about it" ... pretty much the same thing we did at TCC isn't it? you both having fun trolling your own board?

maybe you should start another apology thread and this time mean it.

Well, you know Trip, you could have let this one go... but you sort of chose not to... so I wouldn't be playing the "high road" card just yet.

Well yeah, I guess ... Though mine was a reply to provocation and didn't just come out of the blue like hers. I really thought we had all just sort of agreed to drop it, with no minor effort from my side, as you have noticed I have since not once remarked anything about EOT's "experimental writing", even though we would give any not-Nigel's-friend-n00b a world of shit were they to, say, post solely in boldface or green.

It just really made me doubt the sincerity of her side of the apologies that were going around last week.

Geez, 000, who put pepper in your panties? It was supposed to be a joke, and it was meant for EOT. Who actually did post something I couldn't understand on my board the other day.

Is it OK with you if people sometimes use the board to goof around with people they know IRL? If yes, thanks.

Also, thanks Hoops.

I am in a perfectly great mood today, and my earlier post was not intended to poke at anyone but E.O.T. so hopefully people can chill out and let me be his friend on this board the same way everyone else who's IRL friends banter and poke each other here.

'cause he's my friend and he posted something utterly incomprehensible on my board.

Also, I totally do like Yatto. He's sometimes confusing but often awesome, and he has a great sense of humor about himself.

OR

EOT is a sweet fucking freak, attempting to change him is a total exercise in futility, and I'm not going to try to relate differently with him online than I do IRL just because he has dug his heels into a weird posting format that bugs some people. He's also a study in curious communication in person; trying to get him to finish a sentence without starting another one first (or just stopping entirely and going off to do something else, leaving you going :?) calls for patience and persistence, so, you know, I consider him completing sentences here kind of a win. AND I like him anyway, or even because of what an adventure it is to talk to him, AND I'm going to keep talking to him here as a real person and as my friend, because he deserves no less. Including flipping him shit occasionally.

AND he's probably going to give me hell later when he reads this, but dude, EOT, you know it's true. Conversations with you go anywhere and everywhere, and it can be three days later, out of the blue with no context, before you conclude your original point, with or without conclusions for any of the other tangents that occurred in the course of the conversation, by which point I have usually forgotten almost entirely about everything. AND, I find it interesting and endearing and the conversational adventure is one of the things I thoroughly enjoy about you, so I'm not complaining, at all.

I'm not even going to bring up the occasional gratuitous birdcalls. At least, I think that's what's going on.

Ah, 000. For some reason, Nigel sent me the link to her immediate-friend board. I went there and commented on a small conversation. Because Nigel did not check the thread itself, she couldn't make head or tales of my post. Which was, as always, not only spot on but also genius.

000, I don't know if you're actually reading the content on this board, but I'd say a fair percentage of what goes on here is dialogue between friends, or at least, people of fair acquaintance. Man, your response here is just simply paranoid/ delusional. One of the very first things I did when jumping on board, was to post in 'bring & brag' about a good friend of mine(artist-type) and some of my personal work, to touch base. I'm infinitely more interested in the creative end of the stick here, than drama. Honestly, if I was wanting to raise hell, a mere post 'format' would be a blase way of doing it.

Knowing Nigel, whatever she said, she means it. It may sound like an ECH coctail, but this chick is one part Injin, one part slave-owning american black and the rest is Welsh dwarf pioneer. You do the math.

Anyways, so far as personal/ friend posts & threads, I'd say people on the board actually care quite a lot.

E.O.T. says, show me your art or GTFO.

I think more people should play around with weird posting formats, even if it is harder to understand.

A small but quite vocal part, IMO. But please also realize that this board is a meeting place for people from all over the world to communicate, discuss and exchange things Discordian. People that might never get the chance to meet IRL or if they do maybe once or twice in a lifetime. Chatter that nobody else except these two people that meet IRL anyway would understand is tolerated, but don't be all surprised when others misinterpret it, if they only have the light of those people's previous, visible actions on the board to go by.

QuoteMan, your response here is just simply paranoid/ delusional.

Maybe, if I knew you and Nigel both IRL. Unfortunately, we only have the total sum of Nigel's previous actions and your "creative writing experiments" to go by.

QuoteI'm infinitely more interested in the creative end of the stick here, than drama.

You didn't answer Stoat's question. If this is so, then why the "creative writing experiment"?

QuoteHonestly, if I was wanting to raise hell, a mere post 'format' would be a blase way of doing it.

On that part, we are in agreement.

Is that a trick question :?

this ones a smart one, better keep an extra watch on him

its like watching a train wreck, i like how no one really yelling at me
or no real reason for this topic but ECH still chipped in defending me
when it wasnt needed based on the topic, and the entire time im pictur... let me just womp it...
dont think its not wanted tho... just... adds a weird vibe.

NIGEL, the board will make fun of you or your friend whither you like it or not...
dont let them troll you into defending yourself

EOT,  stop trying to be outlandish or not...
dont let them harass you but try to not go far away from apple talk

000, stop trying to explain everything or not...
dont think their lack of progress means they arent willing to improve themselfs
