Exactly what Cain said. Ignore him while you go about the business of getting your paperwork in order. He is now a non-person.

This is what I told you on the phone, Freeky.  Don't give the bastard an inch.

Personally, I see this subject as no different than Robert Tilton's asshattery.

On one hand, I am kind of bothered by poor people being fleeced (you don't see many oil magnates going to a psychic).

On the other hand, as long as it is presented for what it is, the caveat emptor applies.

Neat!  I'm looking forward to this coming out.  Is there any chance you guys will be offering signed copies for sale?  I have no idea of the logistics involved in that.

Signed copies will be made available for sale, probably at POEE, on May 1st.

Oh, wow!  This is way more brilliant than I imagined the MSY art would be!

Will it be colored as well?

No.  Not until at least issue 3.

Or that guy [country] Bill Jones, or whatever his name was.  Gambler.  Doktor occasionally quotes him.

Canada Bill Jones.

"It is morally wrong to allow a sucker to keep his money."

Of course, he was referring to people dumb enough to gamble on river boats.

He was a bit of a sucker himself, though.

"I know, but it's the only game in town."
- CBJ, on hearing that the faro game he was joining was rigged.

i just realized that participating in an active forum such as this one.
with such reality building dough packed into it.
so much shit to wrap my mind around.
im gonna be in one of those constantly programming modes all the time.
this is interesting.
i feel i have been lacking in ontological contemplations lately.

You have to be careful with that stuff, though.  Trust me on this, if you never trust me on anything else.

Can't afford to live with that job and borrowing at 20something % was a good alternative, at the time.

Yeah, so you don't borrow until things get better.  After all, we'd just spend 10 years shoveling money down a hole.

Was Carter responsible for every citizen's financial decisions?

I do.

No.

What the heck is a Bowser Revolution?  I gave up searching with all the Nintendo crap that showed up.

It's where you drive out the evil socialist king, only to find out that the princess is in another castle.

Fuck him up Kel. I'm fucking serious. Do as the good Doktor says and beat his fucking ass. Teach that fucker some goddamn manners and a little bit of respect and compassion!

Who are you, and what have you done with Freeky?

No.  I didn't mean to imply that but if you can't afford it...

Can't afford a job?

Hey, I'll humor anything once.  What's the work doing?

This agency deals more with overall health prevention, so tobacco, nutrition, physical activity, and my bread and butter, substance abuse prevention.  My job is to implement programs and develop systems to reduce the prevalance of substance abuse here.  I've got 3 years to do it.

An immediate fail.  Why bother?

Right.  Chuck the damn kids off a cliff, they whine less that way, right?
