Yep. Big telecommunications companies have Dems in their pockets.
Ah... the death rattle of American FreedomĀ©
I don't care enough to even feign surprise anymore.
For you fans of Where's Waldo, try to find the spineless wimp Senator who's afraid to voice an opinion. Here's a hint, she's about to get slaughtered in three primaries tonight.
you think maybe she didn't vote because she's busy rattling the saber for the primaries?
What does this mean, anyway?
QuoteStatement of Purpose: To strike the provisions providing immunity from civil liability to electronic communication service providers for certain assistance provided to the Government.
it was rejected. That's good, right?
Yeah. I just called her office and I was informed by a ginger-voiced woman that the Senator does not have an official position on the issue yet.
Oh? Maybe they should have mentioned that she tops the telecommunication companies donor list at $329,230?

No Cram,
The measure was to take immunity away from the Telecommunications industry in their cooperation with the US Government's warrantless wiretapping program.
Its bad.
I thought so too...
It means there was a provision to provide immunity from prosecution to the telecoms for helping spy on 'Murrcans.
The vote was whether to strike that provison.
The vote failed.
The telecoms are immune from prosecution.

One of which is in D.C.
The same one Obama, who did vote, is running in.
Somehow I knew this fucking measure wouldn't pass.
Somehow.
Fuckin' spinless twits. Honeyed and gilded with blood money. Feh.
The government just doesn't work anymore.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize it had worked in the last 100 years or so? :|
Point. It's still more satisfying to imply that it broke on my watch, somehow.
