Of course, we have to do the former, or at least examine the hell out of it, but the temptation to do the latter is huge.  And now I know why the scientific community can be very reactionary.

A better place for frank scientific discussion would be the legislators offices.

I guess my question is more something like "Do you think that Russia is doing this just for the sake of obtaining more financial/territorial/political power, or is the obtainment of more power a required step/preparation for something else?"

I have enjoyed playing my music loud in two different rooms at once. When I do this I will purposefully have the two computers be various amounts of time out of sync. You never get the lyrics wrong this way!! Some music works better than others.
