They could just keep pulling new proxies... I assume you've banned the acct?

In theory yes, but in practice only one or two proxes work at most offices/workplaces.  And if they planned their troll attack from work because they only ever post at home (or vice-versa) and so their IP will be safe is either neutralized or forced to reveal themselves.

I haven't banned the account, because its an old joke account and I like it....but since the spammer in question changed the password, it will be pretty simple to know if he's back for another go.
