I always liked that rant on education... teaching kids HOW to think seems so much more valuable than drilling them on WHAT to think.

Theres a program on Uk tele, "Are you smarter than a 10 year old", and its all just memory tests, no reasoning or logic skills.
It annoys me :(

That show is on in the US too I think. It pretty much amounts to making people look dumb for forgetting the trivia that they teach you in third grade.

Troof.  I can't remember shit about graphical design or rock formation, but I bet I could do a better job at explaining WWI or arguments for the existence of God than any 10 year old.

TV would be a lot better if it had shows like
