New Hampshire's an odd state. I can't really make sense of the people that live there.

At any rate, that's ridiculous. It's a freakin science class. I don't know what's so hard to accept about evolution, even the Catholic Church accepts it as fact.

I think for people like bergevin science and religion are so intermixed he can't even imagine a world were science isn't directly related to atheism and opposed to his one world view. I don't think he sees evolution as something that even falls in the realms of facts, let alone a scientific theory. Cause if he accepts science as way of investigation then there can't be just one world view that encompasses all aspects of life. Which excludes his world view.

or is just trying to keep the monkeys stupid as to maintain social control.
That works too.

I was digging around reading about it, and most of it was standard it's-just-a-theory-damn-it and the-columbine-shooters-believed-in-evolution. You know standard stuff. And I came across this weirdness

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-zimmerman/creationism-in-new-hampshire_b_1177163.html

QuoteAs ridiculous as all of this is, it doesn't compare to the looniness that defines the second anti-evolution bill. This one, introduced by Republican Jerry Bergevin, also demands that evolution be taught as a theory (as if there's any other way to teach it), but it goes much further. It would require that public school science classes be dramatically expanded to explicitly include politics and religion. Bizarrely, Bergevin demands that students be taught about the personal opinions, opinions unrelated to science, of the scientists, from Darwin to the present, who are responsible for the theory of evolution. Just so you know I'm not making this stuff up, here's what the bill requires students learn: "the theorists' political and ideological viewpoints and their position on the concept of atheism"

Isn't this the same kind of "Your opinions on science determines your ideological and religious opinions" arguments that some of the more crazy atheists use? Wonder who picked it up from who.

Niall Ferguson,

:walken:

sorry I have to scream everytime I hear that name else I'll punch my computer screen.
It all happened after reading (listening to the audio book) of War of the World (or title something like that) which was 50% interesting and 50% "What the fuck? Your a historian man! Didn't you go to school for this stuff?!?!"

Alex Jones is the one that thinks all the world leaders and bank leaders are sacrificing children to their owl God, and control people through Fluoride and MSG's from Juice boxes, and spy on everyone through refrigerates and light bulbs, and cause earthquakes with atomic bombs placed underground. All so they can wipe out 90% or humanity and merge with machines - for some reason.

I wish I was making that up.

He's got a huge following on the internet that is even more rapid then Ron Paul supporters, though to be fair the two groups are sometimes interconnected. He runs the infowars site you probably came across a few times.
Glenn Beck was really just a more sanitized version of Alex Jones, something Alex acknowledged. In fact Alex was convinced Glenn was a secret NWO plant that was stealing and corrupting his "research".

Is this the guy who does the coast to coast show about aliens?

No your thinking of George Noory or Art Bell, and there is no way to make those two monotone idiots entertaining.

Third of all, nobody is publishing my more unsavory opinions in huge mainstream publications like Vanity Fair and The Atlantic.

I wonder if it's any coincidence that the failure of winter to end the occupy movements coincided with Obama's decision not to veto the "defense" bill.

question
how long do you think it is till those in the occupy movement are labeled as terrorists?

He was pretty fucking unlikable.

But the whole "Yay for someone dying" thing. Seriously. Every fucking time.

Fucking hell are you that bored that you're now looking to dig up old arguments over things that nobody actually said yet??

Stirring up shit for nothing, over nothing, if you're trolling PD, go do that somewhere else. And this isn't even jumping on some retarded n00b, but you're wilfully misinterpreting Thurnez, a long-time poster that we all know never even comes close to the sort of assholish vulture-like behaviour you're accusing him of.

Don't worry about it. I kind of see were she was coming from.
