Title: www.discordian.net
Post by: Cramulus on February 09, 2012, 05:26:29 PM

Hi guys! Help me solve this mystery.

In my "discordian" google alerts for the day, I noticed a website just went up:

http://www.discordian.net

There's nothing there, except a cool image (above), and the phrase "VUGA VULET SAGA SHAN ISA GO!"

I am intrigued. I want to find out what this website is and what that phrase means.

When I googled that phrase, it only pointed at this page (http://s23.org/wiki/Illuminati), which has little other information. If you look through the history of that page, you find that it was created in 2003, and the only text on the page read

"VUGA VULET SAGA SHAN ISA GO! Spirit of the Sky, Remember!"

the phrase "spirit of the sky, remember!" is from the Simon Necronomicon.

Does that VUGA VULET sentence sound familiar to anybody? Does anybody have any ideas?

VUGA VULEZ SAGA SHAN ISA GO!

is from a KLF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_KLF) song featuring Tammy Wynette, called Justified and Ancient.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX0mcases4M

All bound for mu mu land

Hey hey

They are justified and they are ancient

And they like to room the land

- Just roll it from the top -

They are justified and they are ancient

I hope you understand

- To the bridge to the bridge to the bridge now -

They didn't want to upset the applecar

They don't want to cause any harm

But if you don't like what's they're going to do

You'd better not stop them 'cos they're coming through

Bring the beat back

All bound for mu mu land

Hey hey

They are justified and they are ancient

And they drive an ice cream van

- Just roll it from the top -

They are justified and they are ancient

With still no master plan

- To the bridge to the bridge to the bridge now -

The last train left an hour ago

They were singing "all aboard"

All bound for mu mu land

Then someone started screaming

"Turn up the strobe"

Bring the beat back All bound for mu mu land

Hey hey Rocking to the rhythm in the ice cream van

With the plan and the key to enter in to mu mu

Vibes from the tribes of the jams

I know where the p.d's at

'Cos i know what time it is

Threes on the dial

Make mine a 99

New style, meanwhile

Fishing in the rivers of life (hoi!)

Vuga vulez, saga shan isa go

Exactly what it says, of course.

I'll go with what LMNO said. Probably some sort of house glossolalia.

Vuga means talk in some African language.

Vulez is French, but not sure for what.  Possibly a slang version of Vouloir?  Not sure.

Saga is of course "story" or tale in Norse.

Shan is a trickier one.  Could be Gaelic for "old and wise", or Chinese for "mountain", or "pride" in Hindi.

Isa is the Arabic name for Jesus, but could also mean iron in Teutonic, or rainbow in Chamorro.

And go obviously means start.

Shit, I didn't even think about checking different languages.
However, vulez isn't a french word. Could be a misspelling/corruption of voulez (want)

I've seen it on sites where they're writing in French.  I'm fairly sure it's a slang spelling for voulez.

"VUGA VULEZ SAGA SHAN ISA GO!" is an anagram of "A VAGINA SAVAGES GUSH LOUT!".

It's clearly about vagina dentata.

So...

"Talk want story old and wise mountain pride Jesus iron rainbow go."

In other words, "Tell us a tale of the ancient peaks, and how Christ smashed the Bifrost."

There's an mp3 playing on the site. Very quietly, I didn't notice it until I looked at the page source and turned my speakers up.
It's a creepy ambient sort of thing called hipnaural.mp3

And the logo looks like it was borrowed from the Dharma Initiative in Lost.

There's also a little logo that comes up next to my address bar:

hm? I don't recognise it.

Well, that was fun.

This site was build with Net Objects Fusion, I can't confirm that the hm thing is their default favicon (tineye doesn't love me) but the css files reference all kinds of NOF things that aren't on the site at all. It's possible there was a nof site on there that they nuked and replaced with this and didn't realize that the css files could go, too, since the site is nothing but tables, two images, and some in-line css at this point.

The image is based on the Bagua
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2e/Bagua-name-later.svg/275px-Bagua-name-later.svg.png)

Which is of course where the Lost people got it from, no way of knowing which ones our friends at dnet were borrowing from

Well, if the logo was created when the page went online then it wouldn't be from the Dharma logo as LOST didn't premiere until late 2004.  I'd wager each were borrowing from the Bagua.

Didn't StMae have a site that was just called "Discordian"? Or maybe she got .org or .com something?

The phrase appears on the first revision of the s23 wiki entry for Illuminati:

http://s23.org/w/index.php?title=Illuminati&oldid=13006

The IP address doesn't track to any other edits tho. Still digging.

These guys talk about the existence of a "discordian.org, .com & .net, but no .gov, etc" (but don't seem related to the .net site):

http://www.discordian.org/smf/

----------------------------------------

Digging further.

Seems that who-ever has control of the domain has had other stuff up (and pretty consistently good design sense... troll doll notwithstanding):

QuoteThe most recent screenshot for this website was taken on Dec 31st, 2011.

We have 8 historic screenshots of DiscordIan.net dating back to May 31st, 2005.

Check those out...

http://www.illuminatus.net/ is now a dead hostmonster page (BUT IT SHOWS UP ON OUR OWN LINK PAGE).
We can probably have more luck with the Internet Archive/Google cache of that site.. let's see.

Hmm, nope, seems like it's been excluded from the wayback machine and google doesn't have a good cache. Found a cafe press account, tho ( http://www.cafepress.co.uk/illuminatusnet ). No profile info.

I tracked the owner to a post in a TribalWar forum (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:hocIMb8taoIJ:www.tribalwar.com/forums/archive/t-250480-p-7.html+&cd=51&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a) (a game I suppose), and landed a Holy Name, Zlex.

Googleing: Zlex + Illuminatus quickly turned up a post from 2005: http://www.christianforums.com/t1780964-3/ which seems to confirm style.

Googleing: "site:www.christianforums.com zlex" pulls up a bunch more posts, but no profile info. Over on another forum (http://newboards.tusclan.com/showthread.php?t=11210&page=9) he lists a homepage of http://zlex.gohomelan.com/ (but that's horribly dead as well).

That site does have a public profile, so we can learn that he's from Toronto, and has a DOB of August 14, 1985. Plus, it lists an ICQ# (how '00s), which leads to a blank profile under the name "Alex" and tagged with this character string: _-^/=ZLEX=\^-_

Googling further, I found another profile here: http://www.meetmeinto.com/profile.asp?id=45375 via a cached forum post (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:QSgE7laWjs0J:www.meetmeinto.com/thread_content.asp%3Fdisplay%3Dall%26threadId%3D693801%26forumName%3Dpforum+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a) about the illuminati:
Quotezlex : Addict : 3081 posts

I think its pretty obvious that a secret group working in the shadows popularized the movie E.T. so that they could later convince us to unite under a New World Order to fight an Alien threat. That, and controlling the media to popularize Justin Bieber--I mean, sorry that doesn't fit the bill--Black Sabbath to make us all feel negative and become godless devil-worshiping zombies.

They only allow this guys website to exist to hide their power, if they shut it down then it would become obvious they existed, and the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

I should steal some free website templates and make up some crap to hock my DVD to total morons.

The profile has this info on Pope Alex "Zlex" Illuminatus:

haha NICE!

I went into #illuminati on efnet yesterday, and they had no idea. Other than that the lyrics are KLF lyrics, which they instantly recognized.
