I flushed a teddy bear down the toilet once. It got stuck somewhere crucial and all the drains in the building backed up, in a bad bad way. I was three.

After that I did much worse, but I got pulled out of school altogether when I was eight. Oh, except that ill-fated trimester in Junior High. :( I was expelled partway through for knowing words I shouldn't have known, and writing them about the principal, on the wall, in lipstick. In detention.

"According to the survey, 78 percent of respondents believe conservatives support moral values, while only 40 percent said the same about left-wingers. In fact, 29 percent said they believed left-wingers actually opposed moral values."

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! That's priceless.

Even lurking, it provides me with fuel to know that "Bob" has soldiers.

He doesn't.

And I thought to myself: Wonder how he is going to word hopelessness today?

But surely you would not expect anything less from someone named for Hunter S. Thompson and Tyler Durden, right?

I'm a Republican, but I'm an anti-Neocon Republican so it sort of makes me an orphan.

This is so very true.
I love my booze, and pot, and mushrooms, and LSD, but when you use it to replace instead of enhance, then what are you doing?
Really doing?

I think I need to cut back.  Which is funny, because I'm drunk.

Heh I've had that thought, usually related to my hangover the next day. So now I just try to keep it to a below-hangover level, and I feel pretty happy about that.

Of course, on Thursday I'm going to be devoid of any responsibility for anyone or anything, and I'm going to be off at a friend's house drinking hot spiced wine and eating a retarded amount of dessert, but not so much as to blow my chances of getting laid.

Some of the many reasons I think Spanish should be taught as a second language in schools (were there no budget constraints):

1. It's an easy language for English-speakers to learn
2. It's already pretty ubiquitous in the US, so almost everyone would have the opportunity to stay fluent in it past high school
3. Learning a second language while young makes it easier to learn additional languages later on
4. Learning a second language while young appears to make kids smarter... at least, that's what "they" say.

Some of the local schools have a Spanish room that does immersion teaching for all kids 3rd grade and up. I'd love to see the younger classes in there too, but I understand that budget restrictions make language not the highest priority.
