Somebody might eat your brain in a pizza, or your mind could end up inside a calculator.

The bottom of the linked page has a link to another article on the topic of advances in cryonic brain preservation, but personally I'm banking on plastination as the most promising technology to preserve my brain's circuitry after I die

I'll just make billions of backups and have them decollate each-other, for the sake of authenticity, so one of them gets to live forever.

Another way to copypaste yourself into the future would be to record your whole childhood, clone yourself, and hire a bunch of actors to reproduce your reality tunnel until whatever age you wanna do the timewarp. Chaos and randomness would probably screw it up, but that has an additional benefit of not breaking the clock to figure out what's inside.

Aha! Except you always pay, or it happened to someone else.

Keep paying till you kick the bucket and the actors will keep up the clone going till the age gap is offset. Clone will be pumped full of anesthetics, and then "you" wake up in the future with better healthcare, and a tad longer life span. This can be spammed.

Don't get me wrong, I like the concept, but identical twins that grew up together would probably beg to differ. To get funding you would probably need to reduce that contradictory data by half, at least.

Or just ramp it up and mass-reproduce. When the whole society is just your clones, and personnel needed to provide them illusion of your life, eventually one of them would end up being close to exact match. The chosen one.

You'd get your own custom dystopia, with a small price of dying multiple times when your clones accidentally diverge from the path over and over again.  :lulz:

Working on that one too. That's part of the reason why I have a hoarding problem; all this crap points to what I was doing at different times.

When they inevitably inquire about the mess, I ask whether they remembered to turn off their own Tardis today. Then they just leave, posthaste.
