I tried to post a new thread under the Dok Howl name, and when I logged in, it said I was banned. It will not log me back in as TGRR, either.
wtf? How are you Charley?
:tinfoilhat:
OK, I'll try and sort it out.
I think the Dok Howl account was banned when TGRR went back to using the TGRR account, under the one account rule, and it's now acting up a little.
Thanks Cain. Doing okay Suu, how about you?
Right, I've cleared the ban triggers. If you logout and refresh, you should be able to login. If not, give it 5-10 minutes and try again. If that doesn't work, I'm going to talk to Faust.

Passed on. Thanks.

RWHN and a few others have alt accounts, for artwork and for humor. I keep the Howl name for particular types of essays.
I was under the impression that the rule didn't apply if:
1. The alt is known,
2. The alt is used for art (The Dreadful Hours), or humor (Rod Stewart, Enrico).
ETA: Thanks for fixing it.
Ah, I didn't know you were keeping it for certain essays still, or when I had originally noticed the ban I would have removed it. I can only assume the person who put the ban in place was thinking along the same line of thought I was.
Wasn't me who added it. There are a LOT more alts circulating then the ones you listed and some not for good reasons like those.
I've never banned anyone for an alt account, though I do tend to out them unless there is a good reason.
I tend to ban them as they are made known to me unless the account holder has cleared the alt with an admin or it's a well-known one (like Enrico or Rod Stewart). I've got no problem with you using both accounts, I only banned the Dok Howl account originally because I thought you were done with it for good.
I just naturally assumed that all you fuckers have alts. This IS a forum about mayhem and discord, after all.
I don't.
I would have an alt but I'm just too fucking lazy

Correction, we ARE all alts. Including you.

Alts of Daruko?
No. Horab.
I have to keep the poetry and puns separated. It just feels weird having them in the same persona.
Rod Stewart is to deal with my intense dislike for Rod Stewart. Something, by the way, my wife tortures me with quite a bit.
I assume she does it in self defense.

Wonderful bit of passive aggressive behavior.
Me, I used Taylor Swift on mine.
Ugh, my daughter tortures me with her, and Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montanna.

I wouldn't sink so far as Miley Cyrus.
Taylor Swift actually has a good voice... and a shitton of "you're a lying, cheating bastard" and "I'm better off without you" songs.

There used to be a lot of really sneaky alt behavior on this board, luckily that's over.
As it stands, if an alt doesn't do something really hilarious in his first post, people pretty much lose their shit.
I got a private message less than two weeks after I started posting asking (very politely) if I was an alt.
We all know that Luna is code for Luke. ;)
Yeaaaah, a whole string of regurgitated unoriginal unfunny jokes about alts dicking up the discussion! Good thing they aren't puns or it'd be annoying, right? :kingmeh:
Anyway.

When did we change the rule from outing to banning alts?
I'm sure that when we made the rules, it was we'd just out the alts that were either non-funny or not-well-known.
We'd only BAN known alts if they were made by people that were originally banned for other reasons.

Taylor Swift sounds like she's singing with a cheesegrater in my ears. Her voice would be better if somebody lit her larynx on fire.
Frankly, I'm not surprised she gets cheated on and dumped all the time.

Actually, the very nature of the OP (and thus the discussion) was ABOUT alts.
As for your other question...
I don't remember (or care much) but I'm sure it was done capriciously.

Officially I hate the fuck out of you now. Both of them make me want to destroy every radio ever made with a dull axe.

Hate away. My taste in music changes fairly quickly, and I'm not in the house to torture him any more, so I'll move on to something else. Tossing on a playlist of "fuck you, bastard" songs was subtle, but effective.
No, it was probably just that he couldn't stand Taylor Swift. The actual "content" of her songs is a moot point.

Certainly possible. I spent too many years NOT listening to what I wanted to hear because he bitched that he didn't like it, though, so I honestly don't give a fuck any more who does or doesn't like whatever I happen to be playing, whether it's Taylor Swift, Dead Can Dance, or Dropkick Murphys.
Those would all be deal-breakers for me on an individual basis. Put them on the same playlist... :lulz:

The fact that I completely understand this is one of the reasons I know I'm in good company.

Nothing wrong with different tastes. Hell, your taste in music might make me want to run screaming from the room... or I might just enjoy it. I've found at least SOMETHING I liked hearing from just about any band out there.
