It's interesting that women politicians are fighting back against idiotic policies proposed by their colleagues. It isn't too far now, when stand-up comedians will be interchangeable with politicians. This makes me think that Stephen Colbert will be our next president.
This is pretty excellent. It's good to see democrats are finally standing up for themselves. It was getting a little sad. And this is probably the most interesting way they could've done it.
The real problem is that it's getting harder and harder to distinguish between satire and authentic stupidity. Like last week when someone posted the link about the guy in Mississippi who wanted to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Until somebody gave me a link to an article where he explicitly said it was a joke, I had no reason to believe it wasn't serious. Then there are sites like Christians For A Moral America*--I've been following it off and on for a month or so now and still haven't decided whether or not they're serious.
*Was going to link, but apparently the blog no longer exists--don't know if blogspot took it down or what. There's still a Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christians-For-A-Moral-America-CFAMA/341431812535474), but it hasn't been updated since January.
