nice writings. only problem i see, is if you keep regularly spouting bullshit people will start to ignore it. you have to bait them first into thinking it might actually be something interesting, otherwise it'll just get filtered away in the shitstorm of noise they already have to deal with.

1. realize there is no solution
2. bitch about it
3. laugh about it (until your sides hurt)
4. send this message to 5 other people and it will all get better, honest

Or Kill Me / Re: The Con

:mittens:

just printed off 17 copies of this for leaving lying around at random places.

a question: even though i believe different, your text does not deny that the Con is, like all other conspiracies, actively organised by a small group of "evil overlords", and the multiple references to "them" seem to reinforce this idea. is this intentional?
because, as far as i believe, it is mostly a result of the fact that people tend to like being like one another, the Machine, BIP etc.. all not really organised top-down, but more like emerging from the bottoms-up. cause even the so-called "masters" are just tools.

1 - that's Operation Mindfuck we're talking about. google some discordian websites for "operation mindfuck" or "jake" for the classic examples.
2 - also there's thinking to be done. why is this going to work and what is the most effective way to do it.
3 - and there's propaganda, get out there talk with people. you can't fight for a cause that you can't explain effectively to others. there's loads of flyers to print around. print off the above piece. figure out what others are thinking and why they aren't always. combine with nr 1 and 2 above.

also anything except sitting on your arse waiting until it grows worse.

Or Kill Me / Re: Sauce with that! - pointless dont read
September 07, 2006, 12:08:02 PM
the trick to making things taste good without sauce is variation. make a pasta salad or couscous salad (no sauce in that!) but use a lot of different vegetables. it's still summer that means veggies are cheap and varied. pick a theme for your mix don't just throw everything together. also use high quality ingredients. having soggy carrots from a can can spoil an entire salad.

for meat. again get good quality meat. rub it with salt and pepper, maybe a bit of garlic, but that's it.

i like it. it's hopeful in a cynical kind of way. i let a friend read it, he commented on the last bit about the foot stomping on a cabbagehead being a paraphrase from 1984, is this the case? what was the original quote?
he also said it sounds so religious while tries to deny religion, it's got conviction. (and apparently that's a bad thing, he can be cynical like that)

crap your mittens should have been larger but SMF resizes them

Quote from: Trollax on September 05, 2003, 11:41:16 AMScientific method tells us all A's are B's All B's are C's and therefore all C's are A's... so too does a paranoid schizophrenic reason... bad things come in mail, mail is bad, all mailmen are evil... Internally consistent equals hard to disprove provided it is both general and moot enough as a point.

i feel my post in the "random links" thread is kind of appropriate here:

this way of reasoning kind of reminds me of What the Tortoise said to Achilles by Lewis Caroll.
