This post is very serious. So serious, in fact, that it is... well... serious. Seriously.
If anyone has anything the least bit serious to say, please put it in this thread. We'd like to keep the rest of PeeDeeDotCom free of seriousness. This is the internet, after all.
Thank you for your cooperation.

I predict that all the snow will melt away some time in august, and then you'll have a blizzard in September.

Now that's just plain silly. Need I remind you that silliness is what the
rest of the board is for. This is the
serious thread.
kthxbye

Thanks for that advice. I now consider myself cognisant of this issue.
I'm having a hard time differentiating between the absurdly serious, seriously absurd and absurdly silly. Do you think this is a serious problem, or am I just being silly? If so, let me assure you that I am resolved to stop at once.
Now just calm down...

I'd go with either we're always serious, or never serious. I'm pretty sure it's one or the other.

"Oh, well, then stop."
It has been scientifically proven that seriousness might in some cases possibly be the leading cause of stress. Stress is the equivalent of having highblood pressure, and that causes heart attacks. Those things are known to kill people, and so if you are serious or have anything serious to say on the internet, you support heart attacks, and by default support suicide by blog.
Why are there a bunch of fuzzy yellow things on my screen smiling at me?

We'll avoid using that exact phrase then.
Teenage Girl Dies from Continuous Blogging......
In a tragic tale of too much to say in too little time. Wendy Loseray had sat blogging at her computer her parents tell us for over 72 hours straight during spring break.
"She was eating and drinking I know because we took food and juice up to her room" says her distraught mother, Socha Loseray.
However, what her parents did not know was that Wendy did not leave her seat to use the restroom. Her parents found her unconscous and barely breathing on fourth evening and made numerous attempts to revive her. Then read her blog to see if she had left a suicide note. Afterwards calling 911. Unfortunately all of the gasses and liquids had entered Wendy's bloodstream and though every attempt was made at the hospital, including getting her on the transplant list, Wendy died Friday.
"This is a wake up call to parents everywhere" says Wendy's father Imar Loseray. "Parents have to see that computers are evil and the devil can come through and posess them to forget everything but the computer."
Services will be announced once Wendy's body is relaeased for burial.
Internet Rivalries Gone Amok
Unknown to many of us, there are vicious battles being fought over the internet as we speak. Internet bloggers are often known as sources of witty commentary, or not-so-witty commentary as the case may be, but occasionally bloggers will get into disagreements with each other. Political bloggers are the most obvious example, but nearly any topic that people disagree on in real life can be the cause of one of these "blog wars." The hapless victims of this senseless verbal violence are usually nothing more than the warring bloggers' egos.
Rarely, however, does the tension get so high that anything worse happens. Unfortunately for former bloggers Greg Hill and Omar Thornley, the conflict cost them their lives.
Yes, you read that right folks: argument over the internet has resulted in the mutual death of the arguers, without either party lifting a finger against the other in any physical way. Both victims were found dead at their keyboards, one dead by stress-induced heart attack and the other by stress-induced brain aneurysm. The correlation between their deaths was only discovered several days later, as family members of both bloggers sorted through their internet history.
<Continue with quotes and more information, i.e. what were they arguing about, etc.>
God damn the USA. :lulz:

Hmm, good point. I forgot about that. Even so, I am a fan of that comic.
Maybe something like "bloggers killed my family?"
I youth christian in wisconsin was found in his room viciously blog raped by his sunday school teacher. Sources cannot confirm whether the firewall is to blame, or the boy's overlly flirtatious comments, with excessive talk of 'being one with lord jebus'.
