I know you said you weren't really into baroque, but this piece (and to be honest, up to now only this performance of it) just blew me away when I first heard it:

Lulu only has a paperback edition (or I suck at lulu). It's probably the same contents, so it's still a nice edition.

Though, this should be taken literally. Playing Sink is... well, why would you?

Gah, I hit modify instead of quote. I likened Sink to masturbation. Feels good, does nothing except help you sleep at night.

I think you answered your own question there.

What I gathered from that is that Syn got ripped off by the publisher and it's not available right now.

I've decided I like the weird fold, and that I am lazy, so I'm sticking to that.

But I have adjusted it to fit on letter paper:

I hope that works.

I love it btw!  Especially the last bit about burning the pamphlet.

One thing for the us over here in the States...While it might be a few extra steps for us to cut down an 11x17 (tabloid) size paper to A4 size, it would be even sweeter if you could make a version that's 8.5x11 (letter) size.  :)

Didn't think about that and I'll be happy to do it. You will have to wait till Tuesday though, when I'm back at the PC with the source files.

I guess thinking about these things in advance comes with experience.

Is there a version of this that works as a trifold? It seems like everything would be in the wrong order if I printed this and folded it up.

It doesn't? I guess I should have actually printed it out and tried.

After some testing with a piece of paper (I don't have access to a printer right now), I think it works if you fold it the other way. Usually there would be a fold on the left of the cover of the leaflet, and the end of the paper on the right. Now you want the fold to be on the right of the cover.

If you want a changed version I'll be able to make one for you on Tuesday.

Claiming that someone is a contributor without them being it is of course still fucked up (and illegal), and as a publisher I would be pissed at a load of angry emails no matter if they were correct or incorrect, but it seems that Uncle BadTouch is not guilty of copyright infringement.

I haven't actually read the book yet, so it could be that there's something in there that I missed. And of course, I don't know all your works or psuedonyms by heart, so it could be that there is a misattributed piece in there, or one attributed under a name I don't know. But I looked at all the headers, and none of you are there.

I seem to remember Uncle BadTouch giving some guys credit that were later pissed at having "contributed", but I can't find where. Could someone link please?

I recieved this book today. I haven't read it yet, but I can't see anything obvious by someone complaining in this or that other thread, except for a one line quote by Adam Gorightly. Unless Roger is also known as Captain "Sesame Seed" Rogers, and also has a writing style very different than what I'm used to.

I can post the contributors list if anyone is interested, and if I recognize anything that someone on this forum might have copyright objections to I will definitaly post here. But to be honest right now it looks to me like y'all got trolled.

Uncle BadTouch just did another post on his book on 23ae:

Quote from: Uncle BadTouch
What book have Robert Anton Wilson (who saw an early draft), Rev. Ivan Stang, R. Crumb, Alan Moore, Sondra London aka The Erisian Elestria, Reverend Jason "Pee Kitty" Levine, Adam Gorightly, Johnny Shellburn, S. John Ross aka Pope Leo and Malaclypse the Younger aka Greg Hill (who never saw the whole book but read some selections) and others been talking about?  Feel free to find out!

Again implying Adam's consent and/or knowledge.

I have actually ordered the book. (I like having Discordians books, even if they are crap. I also bought "The Long Run" by Mr. Keys, because it was supposed to feature Discordianism. It doesn't in any recognizable way.) It will arrive in a while, Amazon estimates half way through February. When it does I will issue a full report of what it says.

Think for Yourself, Schmuck! / Re: Hip Like Me

Flannel and fixed gear bike?

Hipsters don't want to think of themselves as hipsters, so to try to be a hipster you need to try to not think of yourself as a hipster. Thus you will only have succeeded when you feel you have failed at becoming a hipster.

Quote from: wikipediaThe prevalence of pedophilia in the general population is not known, but is estimated to be lower than 5% based on several smaller studies with prevalence rates between 3% and 9%.

If that is true, I think every moderately sized movement has pedophiles. Maybe the left has more of a tendency to talk about it, and maybe we just read more about the left.

What's really funny is that I got none - despite knowing several people were ranking my (practically nonexistant) role in the events just behind you two.
I really can't explain why, but I do know that if I was going to message someone my butthurt, it would probably be Roger.

Religion 'could' be replaced, if the void was filled with something else. That thing would have to be very accessible to all levels of education, require little independent thought on the part of the individual, provide the ecstatic/bliss experience, provide a sense of belonging and provide simple answers to the scary questions that are common among most people.

Let's see if I'm understanding you.

Religion is a common way of filling certain parts of human existence. Most people could do without, but it's something they would have to replace with something else.
