I have a few pages of PMs saved all the way back to January of 2003, and I have willed them to ECH, to be published in the event of my death (unless I post them first). One guy hollering at me for "talking to thos slutts" (SIC), some lady saying "I WROTE YOUR NAME NEXT TO MINE IN THE LIGHTNING BUT IN THE MORNING I CRIED", half a dozen people worried about my soul, and at least two who are/were convinced I am the antichrist. I have 6 death threats, 3 marriage proposals, and one promise of forcible buttrape (from a woman, no less).

Anyone here who received this still have the message/screenshot? I think Yatto is nuts, but that does not seem like something he would do, and it seems VERY MUCH like something one of AKK's little gang of bullies would do. I may be mistaken, but this also happened after he changed his name to Brian... and I know for a fact that he CHANGED his name, rather than having two accounts, because he was messaging me as Mah Fnord from the same account which became Brian Fnord. So the other Mah Fnord account, which no longer exists, could have been set up by anyone. AKK, for example.

I don't even REMEMBER operation safekids. It's a non-issue.

I remember him changing it when the shit had hit the fan...I'm not throwing down the gauntlet on that point, memory can be a notoriously imprecise thing sometimes and it's possible I only noticed it then. But I do know that Liam was porn spammed and led to believe Roger did it, and I do know that Roger got Yatto to admit it. As mentioned, he posted a screenshot here. With a red circle and arrow and "OWNED" or something of that nature on it. :lol:

I'd like to see that screenshot, and read the exact words in which Yatto admitted to porn spamming. I also want to know WHICH account he admitted it from; the Brian Fnord account or the Mah Fnord account. If they're pretty conclusive and not ambiguous, then Yatto's lying to me now. The PMs I got from him when it went down seemed genuinely panicked and confused. This was also around the time that he friended AKK and a bunch of AKK's bully-boys, and added me to some fucked-up group, members of which promptly started harassing me. ANY of those assholes would have no compunction about throwing Yatto under a bus to fuck with Dok.
Still looking for it. The search function here sucks, so I'm trying to go through posts from July 5-10 by member and I can't find it..digging on old mails, what a mess.

I didn't get anything. I just logged on to facebook one night and found Liam hopping mad. I don't think he'd have been that upset over links. He said the comments led him to believe it was Roger.
You may be right that he meant he uses redtube for himself though.

Yes, that's what I was saying. Now, though, I doubt there was ever a dupe account at all. I think it was a glorious convergence of stupidity (on Yatto's part), paranoia, and genuine misunderstanding.
I know that the account that is now Brian Fnord used to be Mah Fnord. I have a conversation going back to February with him, and the address for his facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/mah.fnord.

I know Yatto can be really annoying and has certainly shown bad judgment. But I think the evidence is pointing to him not having porn-bombed anyone, and frankly, having met him, I do not sense a malicious bone in his body. The guy is 100% the fool, definitely kind of crazy, and oddly gullible/naive... but not mean or malicious. I would like to go out on a limb and advocate for allowing him to come back to the board so he can properly apologize to Dok for saying he was going to use his work after Dok revoked permission.
Obviously, since that was the reason he was banned, and it was a legitimate reason, I say this with all respect for Dok's wishes, and of course it was ECH's decision to ban so he would be the one to make that decision, ultimately. But I feel for the poor guy, because he fucked up, and then right after the fuckup, while tempers were still high, he seems to have fallen by sheer bloody fucked-up luck into a marathon comedy of errors that led to him being strung up like a Moosemas turkey over something that not only did HE not do, but it even appears now that NOBODY did it.

Well, that's a good question. You could try asking them, but I don't see why their story would change any at this point. Might still be worth a shot, though.
That's where I'm jammed up. I would think Liam would find a way to run an IP, or SOMETHING, proxy or no. He's been my go-to guy when I needed techy stuff. Then again there's the weed + alcohol + posting pics of his latest horrible injury he did to himself when he was wacked out of his mind. You can't really tell the degree of his lucidity from his typing, it's consistent. He's starting to look like a shithead who just wanted an excuse to cut some people out for some unknown reason, BUT he seems to keep his friends for years, Bone Jangles talks to him all the time and they go back forever. I think there's some key piece of information missing but I think if I asked Liam or Bella I'd just get the same "we don't want to talk about it".

I find the idea that Yatto was behind the pr0n bombing also very unlikely, given all of the above.
I would have no objection to Yatto coming back, so long as he isn't going to be an arse concerning copyright (and he seems to have changed his mind about this). To be honest, I did feel bad about banning him, since I've never had a problem with Yatto before that incident and he's never been openly malicious in the way AKK or some others have been, but he wasn't exactly backing down at the time.

I know Yatto can be really annoying and has certainly shown bad judgment. But I think the evidence is pointing to him not having porn-bombed anyone, and frankly, having met him, I do not sense a malicious bone in his body. The guy is 100% the fool, definitely kind of crazy, and oddly gullible/naive... but not mean or malicious. I would like to go out on a limb and advocate for allowing him to come back to the board so he can properly apologize to Dok for saying he was going to use his work after Dok revoked permission.
Obviously, since that was the reason he was banned, and it was a legitimate reason, I say this with all respect for Dok's wishes, and of course it was ECH's decision to ban so he would be the one to make that decision, ultimately. I've hung out with him IRL before and I agree with the "he's not malicious, just has terrible judgment" line of thought. I'd already had conversations with him about being reinstated here and I have no problem with it but as I see it, it's ultimately up to Dok and Cain since they're the ones whose material he jacked and/or threatened to jack. If they're willing to forgive him or at least allow him to come back and offer a proper apology I'm happy to un-ban him.

He's not stupid. Sure, if he were motivated to do so, he would be completely capable of downloading porn and spamming it. So would I. But how would he even be aware of Bella and Liam's accounts? It's just a real stretch. And the complete lack of details makes me even more skeptical. "every single Discordian-affiliated email and website" were "spammed with porn"? That doesn't even make sense. How do you spam a website (other than a forum that allows image posting) with porn? And what was the return path of the email address that they were allegedly spammed from? I get hundreds of spam emails daily... my mailreader doesn't automatically open the images. There is NO connection between "classic tubgirl/scatporn" and redtube videos. Bella never even mentioned videos, and redtube doesn't have "classic tubgirl/scatporn".
Basically, I call bullshit in the entirety. Maybe Bella wasn't lying, but she was certainly either highly confused or deliberately misrepresenting.

The facts as we now them are:
1) Liam claimed to have been porn spammed. Bella backd him up.

Basically, there's no proof that it happened at all, just Liam's word. And since he and Bella apparently immediately cut Roger and Charlie out of their circle of friends afterward, there's nobody who is willing or able to pick their brains to get the details of the alleged spamming.

It turns out that Liam got some porn spam (not on Facebook) and thought Roger did it. It was never actually connected to Yatto in any way whatsoever.

This is what I'm curious about too, and why I asked upthread whether anyone had actually received porn spam from him.
He did say that he shared a link to OpSafeKids, which is a large group dedicated to reporting and shutting down pedos on the web (specifically Facebook), and that Stella's kid (by which he meant yours) had apparently clicked on it right when it was being hit by a bunch of trolls who were spamming porn. Does that sound like what happened? Or was it different? Was it from a link posted on your wall, on his wall, or in your Facebook inbox? I am not necessarily on Yatto's side, here. But so far, I've seen a lot of "Someone saw porn and it must be Yatto's fault" and I would rather find out what actually went down before tarring someone as a porn spammer. If he posted a link to porn on your wall, then yeah, that's shitty and wrong. However, if he posted a link to a page that happened to get porn spammed, there's no reasonable way to hold him responsible for that, whether you like him or not. OpSafeKids DOES often have links to the pages that they are targeting, just as O:MF has links to douchey and/or objectionable forums and websites.

Here is one of the things I was trying to find out. Was there a second account? Because Yatto claims that he did not have a second account, and at the time, he had changed the name on his account to Brian.
Oh, and they keep archived messages pretty much forever as far as I can tell, FYI. So if it was in your FB PMs, you'll still have it and it should be really easy to pull up.
As I said, I haven't been in this thread since the begining until today so any requests you made in this thread I did not see at the time.
If it were a fake "Mah Fnord" account then it must have been made before yatto's because it/they/he was on my friend list. So the fake Mah Fnord friended me weeks before the incident.
I don't remember what the name of the location was on the link sent, all I know is when it was clicked on it went to porn pictures. There was another link to videos.
If it is in some archive somewhere I don't know, I delete messages at my Facebook page. Frankly I'm surprised that is not a habit for everyone, but then again I'm a lot more paranoid than most.

If it were a fake "Mah Fnord" account then it must have been made before yatto's because it/they/he was on my friend list. So the fake Mah Fnord friended me weeks before the incident.
I don't remember what the name of the location was on the link sent, all I know is when it was clicked on it went to porn pictures. There was another link to videos.
If it is in some archive somewhere I don't know, I delete messages at my Facebook page. Frankly I'm surprised that is not a habit for everyone, but then again I'm a lot more paranoid than most.
I keep mine wiped as well.

personally (not that I use facebook) I'm paranoid enough that I don't believe deleted messages are actually deleted, they are just marked "deleted" so you don't see them anymore. And professionally, from a software engineering point-of-view, I'm fairly certain that's the case, because storage space is ridiculously cheap and it's cheaper (for them) to mark-as-deleted than to actually delete.
I could be wrong, but there's not much reason for them to not keep them around, somewhere, waiting for a subpoena.
I suspect it was the OpSafeKids link. Just because that actually makes sense and is consistent with Yatto's story and Yatto's actual behavior up until this point; sometimes stupid, but not actually malicious. Spamming you with porn just doesn't make any sense, whereas posting a link to OpSafeKids, which I know he shared with a bunch of people, does.

They don't even make a pretense of deleting them. When you hit the x next to a message, it archives it, and you can see all your archived messages since forever by clicking the magnifying glass next to the "search messages" box at the top left of the message screen, and selecting "archived messages" from the drop-down menu.

I was taking a break from PD when this pornspam business went down. (and this is a number of months ago and I don't have a record, so my memory may be a bit spotty) Mah Fnord contacted me via FB chat to ask for my advice. He said that Roger had reported him to the police for distributing child porn and he was scared. I asked him what the story was, and he said that the only thing he'd been spamming was a link to the OpSafeKids FB page -- which, at the time, had been spammed with porn.
He wanted to start a PR campaign to clear his name. My advice to him (especially after I found out the cops were involved) was to back away slowly, forget that PD existed, and for the love of god stop poking people. (IIRC I hadn't logged into PD for a month and had less than zero interest in getting involved.)
As far as him spamming Liam -- is it an issue? Liam doesn't want to be involved with the community anymore, I doubt he cares one way or the other whether PD hates Yatto on his behalf.

Trip I have no idea to be honest, when the link was opened it was pornographic pictures, the other link was to a video. Where these pictures and video were housed, I have no clue at all. The message that the links were in came from Mah Fnord.
I messaged back in complete cunt mode and made a shit ton of threats because I was pissed. My daughter pops on my facebook sometimes. I did report the account to Facebook and I did call my local law enforcement to see what my options were, again because I was madder than a wet hen. It was extremely graphic and all I could think of was dear god what if Joy had opened this?

What sounds like happened is that he was sending around the OpSafeKids link, and OpSafeKids got porn bombed at the same time Khara clicked the link. This doesn't mean anyone ought to like him more, just that he didn't deliberately porn spam anyone.
As for the Liam thing, there's no connection to Yatto there whatsoever. Nobody but Liam actually knows what happened with that, and he isn't telling.

I never "like" pages on facebook strictly because I only got on with my phone until recently. The kids use the laptop, I didn't until we just moved. So that is a lie, but why believe me right?

I didn't have it in for Yatto prior to this. I didn't even know Mah Fnord WAS Yatto, I only found out when Roger told me after the fact. He was just somebody posting on facebook, I didn't have any crap feelings towards him. At worst he used to poke a lot, which would occasion an eyeroll at times but no vendetta. People have done a lot worse than excessive friendly poking.
Again, from my perspective it looked like he was the one who porn spammed Liam, due to his complaining about being banned from here, the poop comment, and the timing of the porn spamming. Op Safe Kids is a non event to me. I didn't even see the porn there, my kids are old enough that clicking it would be complete non-issue anyway, and although I apparently 'liked' the page at some point, I'm guessing it was because some other friend asked me to, maybe it was something to do with the cartoon character profile pics, I don't even remember.
I don't see any sense in jumping Khara. Granted it won't kill a kid to see that stuff, but if it was kiddie porn, I'd have reported the shit, even if I was the only one who saw it. Fuck pedos. Them and the FBI deserve each other.
I've always been able to delete my pm's on facebook. If deleted pm's are archived someplace, I've never seen them. I don't doubt that facebook keeps everything, you can kill your whole account and go back months later and reactivate it and everything will come right back up. But that just shows that Zucky & co. have things stashed, not that Khara would be able to recover a deleted pm.
I apologized to Yatto because there wasn't anything but circumstantial evidence. Nobody can prove he did or didn't have a hand in any of this. The apology wasn't because I'm convinced he's innocent, it's because I'm no longer totally convinced he's guilty. If I don't know for sure, I'm not going to hang it on him.

Correction: I just went and looked at my facebook pm's on the laptop and tried to delete one and as of now, you can't, it really does go to an archive box. I DOn't know when this started but Nigel is correct, there doesn't seem to be a way to delete them on the computer, even from the archive box.

I've been following this ever since the original yatto vs roger & cain copyright dispute, and as the drama seems to be spilling over into the general atmosphere of PD, as an uninvolved non-partisan observer to all this, I feel it's not innappropriate to state my own take on this all. Yatto behaved like a dick over the original copyright thing, no-one is denying that. But apologies have been offered, and accepted. That is as it should be. Done and dusted.
As for the other stuff, it's getting out of hand. So there was some porn spamming by parties unknown. Yatto gets blamed, and has taken no end of shit over it.
If he did send those links out to porn pictures, (which apparently is a crime in the US) then the Feds would have jumped all over him. The fact that they haven't,
should be enough to at least give him the benefit of the doubt. Added to the testimony of other users who know him IRL, who have said how out of character it sounds, should give everyone a perfect chance to just let it fucking drop!
There's Khara, who was understandably upset at getting her kid exposed to whatever smut got sent out feeling now that she is the one under attack. And that isn't good. (And she has ALREADY said stated her reluctance to have to go over it all again in post#168 and her acceptance that although there is no evidence either way, it probably wasn't down to Yatto) Yes, it was HER kid who saw the porn. But that's not the issue here. No-one (I hope) is saying Khara isn't being truthful, just that it was unlikely to have been Yatto that sent it out.
And, there's Yatto, who having just been let back on the boards, and having (quite rightly) offered his sincere apologies for being a dick, (which have been accepted) is now having to defend himself against charges, that have no evidence to say that is was even him. It's a big puddle of shit. It's a pointless argument, that is getting fucking nowhere.
I not going to speculate on the reasons Fuck you one eye made the decision to unban him, (plus I think he stated them ITT #99 & #100) but I'm pretty sure it wasn't just to watch him get torn to bits over this facebook shit, that until this morning, at least was a minor issue, that was pretty much dying the death it richly deserves. These are bones not worth picking over, and (I hope, anyway) we all have better things to do.

I also understand why Khara is so pissed given that her kids were involved, inadvertently or not, and I don't see much sense in trying to convince her that she shouldn't feel that way. I know I'd probably feel similarly if I were in her shoes.
And I also agree with BadBeast. There's really not much point to rehashing this since we'll never know for certain exactly what happened and since it had nothing to do with yatto's banning and unbanning.
It certainly wouldn't break my heart if Dok wants this stuff split out into its own thread so as not to obscure the original awesomeness ITT.
