hey- i'd be interested to know what folks on here think (good or bad) about the shits i record on my compy 386.

usually, working hard only gets you more work

i'm fond of a mental excersize that involves imagining an object that keeps getting bigger and bigger (or smaller and smaller).  sort of a way to "stretch" your mind.  i always reach a point where i can no longer continue without changing scales.  this, of course, always leads me to pondering fractal dimensions and scaling.  why is it that we are comfortable at certain scales and have difficulty at the "in between" areas?  information blocking? not sure.

surely one could make a map that is a map of itself, though? right - or is does this intrisicly violate the definition of a map?

for what it's worth, i noticed my fish tank was low on water one day and instead of the usual "fill a pitcher with water, dump in fish tank" method,  i used a shot glass and made several hundred trips.  it was interesting the different ways your (my?) psychology reacted to this, it's hard to describe them all, but at one point i was laughing out loud at the absurdity of it.

i highly recommend attempting some normal, everyday tasks in as mundane a manner possible.  that is, if you're into that sort of thing.

also, can someone please explain the quarter?

i had a weird coincidence last week.  i was having a few beers thursday morning after work and contemplating if i should go to the bar or not.  i walked over to my truck to get another pack of smokes and i saw something orange out in my field.  naturally, i went to go see what it was.  as i got closer i noticed it was a flag of some type and it was kind of folded up.  after i got closer yet, i could clearly read "ERIS" on it.

well, turns out it was an orange tag from a deer blind manufactured by "amERIStep"

so, i went to the bar.

the duck is a nice touch

Hey - I was searching for letterheads to use for amusing purposes and did not find them in abundance.  I propose this thread to dump copyleft letterheads and "clip art" for making your own.

use at your own whimsy.  add your own if you like.

i made some up but due to only having internet at work and the related Big Brother issues, i can't use any file hosting sites.

however, with a bit of luck, someone will be posting them in here for me pretty soon (i hope).

Also, Netaungrot made a pretty bitchin one in the ColbertGASM thread - (there's also some cool illuminati symbols over there, too).  maybe they could go in here, too - no?
