Hey y'all,

Still here.  Still a cook.  Still a drummer. Still married. Still queer.  Still not talking or writing very much.

Still happy.

Quote from: The CTC, Chapter 25
There is Something that exists,
beyond the Illusions of Order and Disorder.
It is all things, and unknowable in full.
We only see small parts of It,
but are convinced what we see is the entire Universe.

For lack of a better name, I call It "Chaos".
At dinner parties, I claim It is everything Possible and Impossible.
When asked why not call It "god",
I point out that their head is too fucking small.

Because we create the Illusions in which we live,
we are more creative than Chaos.
Because we believe in the Illusions we create,
our heads are too fucking small.
In this way, we reflect our creations.

Hi, y'all.

I left Dark Finance.

I'm a cook.

Last band broke up.

New band is cool:

Shall I mark all as READ?

I've been blaming Cram for it

This makes sense. Kramer, Cram-er. It all fits together.

It's been a real challenge to my apparent hidden agism, to be honest.  Most of the volunteers are retirees, and those folx can do some serious food prep work.  I've also been able to lean into my "meditation by way of mise en place" pretty hard.  Three hours of mirepoix prep can change one's brain.

I guess I should update people.

On Mardi Gras day last February, I overcame the curse that bound me to the Dark Gods of Actuarial Finance, and they released their hold over my soul.  Something about, "Maximizing efficient capacity resources viz reduction of meat-based sentience". Then they handed me a small gold-plated parachute (honestly, it was spray painted metallic yellow) and cast me into the void.

It's been an interesting few months.  Now that I had my soul back, I wasn't going to readily jump back into that occult morass.  I've been volunteering in a kitchen that provides meals for the housebound and infirm (it began back in the 90s as a way to get food to AIDS patients who were too ill to leave the house).  I know I'll eventually have to do something capitalistic, but for now I'm really enjoying simply helping people who need it.  So much so that I'm seriously considering going into non-profit work.

I also laid down some drum tracks for a bar rock kind of band called "American Traditional"... when it gets posted, I'll share a link.

Anyway, that's what's going on with me.

I do not want to acknowledge what I just saw.

I will say however, when I read the OP, my brain did not read "briping" as "BRY-ping", as obviously intended.

I read "BRIP-ping".

I prefer it that way.

I post this sentence so there are five "I" statements in this post.

Hello new person!

Thanks for the recap, Cram!

Is there a tl;dr?  I'm not sitting through 7 hours of YouTube documentary.
