Techmology and Scientism / Re: Cloaking technology.

I wonder if this technology allows you to see out if you're cloaked.

if it doesn't, and the technology is easily reproducible, i want to see the college pranks. they WILL be hilarious.

ok, now i want to see a tv series with all the monsters continually saying their own names  :lulz:

India's actually terribly proud of this movie.

They should be.  That was fun.

fun does not do it justice, IMO. it was really fucking entertaining.

for some bizarre reason i can't completely figure out (possibly a combination of head shape, haircut and sunglasses), those robots reminded me of kim jong-il.

now i shall have to re-watch the matrix and terminator and imagine that it's KJ-I instead of arnie and keanu (or maybe instead of hugo weaving would be more fitting? hmm... decisions, decisions).

@cainad: yup. gotta love the dunyain :p (although i only used the name because i had just read the books and needed a fake name to be invisible to certain people in facebook)

@regret: yup, you use it to cut someone's chains at a certain point, and then more epic shit happens  :lulz:

anyone played it?

for those that haven't, a bit of info

-infinity engine based, modified AD&D 2E rules, heavily dialogue based
-set in the planescape setting (duh)
-main character is a dude that revives, losing his memories, every time he dies, and ends searching the planes to figure out what the fuck he is and why he can't die, while coming across all the shit his other "incarnations" (ie those versions of himself that had a distinct personality shift after their last death) did, as they've been around for fuck knows how long. REALLY epic shit follows.
-some non-standard game mechanics, most done on purpose, such as no traditional fantasy races, only one sword in the entire game, alignment shifts according to your actions, class switching for the main character (with individual XP pools for each class), and extremely non-standard NPC companions (including but not limited to a floating skull, a celibate succubus and a rogue modron quadrone).

ran this by lies, he thought some of you might be interested. if not, i am at thy mercy, and maybe perhaps might not repeat the error. *covers self in bubble wrap and curls into fetal position inside bomb shelter*

apparently t-shirt hell is now accepting new shirt submissions, and since i've been doing a bit of lurking, i think if anyone might have some funny shit to submit, it'd be you guys, so... yeah, that.
funny forum + funny t-shirt site looking for material = potential for more funny t-shirts. the lulz must flow.

(PS, you get money and free shirts if they accept your design)

cramulus is officialy my favourite among the forum members. but only when howl isn't around.

Fuck Howl.  He's a rotten, useless bastard who spreads woe as fast as he spreads his terrible strain of herpes.  And he owes me $30.

no, i won't fuck him if he has herpes.

D&D pseudo-noob reporting for duty! (i did start on AD&D second edition, though i have not played nearly as much nor as hardcorely as you guys).

FWIW, i'll pitch in with the "don't like 4e" camp, as the only campaign i have ever played on it  (and ended up leaving halfway through because of the group itself, although that is not the games fault) i did not enjoy as much as the games i've played of 3/3.5/p.finder, let alone the ones with the original party i started with on 2nd edition.

sooooo.... there we have it. i think i'm the first on the thread to say i did not like 4e because i simply enjoyed the other editions more :) (and i still miss non-weapon proficiencies :p).

*cowers in fear from the mighty DnD powerhouses he just wandered between while awaiting judgement*

oh yeah, and demi-lich > tarrasque, but the tarrasque is a lot cooler.

now this isn't a good example of creative swearing, but the intro to this song always made me laugh (around 0:31 or so):

just ignore the cybergoth outfits, mexicans don't look good in them :p

I remember once talking to a woman, who I forget where she's from now so this really annoys me, but apparently they have a 1 word insult that literally means 'You should have been kicked back into your mother" XD

if it's in spanish it could have been malparido, literally 'badly given-birth to'
