Well that isn't going to happen. What is with this setting being derailed by breakups?  First time it was me and my girlfriend, this time my wife's boyfriend broke up with her.  I think if I use this setting again I need to make sure there are no romantic relationships between players.

Planning a new campaign in this same setting. Not Vietnam this time, exact location in the multiverse not clear yet but we'll get there. Characters so far include a wizard brain in a jar, a dragon, and a shaman who is hallucinating it all.

There were certainly more women active on the board back then. What did you guys do to chase them away?

It varies depending on the lady in question. Despite being probably the creepiest guy on the board I don't think I was personally responsible for any of them.

I just read through this entire thread, and I am quite surprised how philosophical it got at times. Hilarious as well. Of course, given the topic, there was a fair amount of lewdness, but also insightful commentary.

The downside is it makes me nostalgic for some of the folks who are no longer active on the board.

I think folks who see "sex work is work" as bullshit are in denial about how badly most work sucks.  Yes, sex work is awful. Like much awful work it pays well.  Treating it differently than toxic waste disposal, or drug dealing is counter productive.

Eliminating sex work is probably impossible and trying and failing to do so makes life worse for sex workers.  Hiring a hooker or going to a strip club, or paying for porn is absolutely supporting exploitation and probably also supporting rape, but getting the cops involved will only make things worse for the victims and probably give the exploiters another tool to enforce obedience.

I got spam from my medical clinic telling me to check if I was eligible for a free shot.  I know I'm not eligible and assumed it was a scam.  I called the clinic and it turned out it was not a scam, covid shots in WA are all free and someone at corporate was being stupid about publicity.  I am relieved since my assumption was that my medical records had been stolen.  I'm still not eligible, but I have gotten pretty used to hermiting out, I can handle a couple more months.

I don't understand this move at all.  There's a vaccine, it's not available to everyone.  It seems like it would make way more sense to keep the restrictions until the vaccine is available to everyone.

To be fair, he ran with the promise to go back to politics as normal... which means 2010, and the rich, fertile soil that grew Trumpism in the first place.

If the Left doesn’t start pushing REALLY hard, the GOP will take the midterms, and OrangeBoi will be back in office in 2024.

How can we push?  Letters to congress critters obviously, but I doubt that's enough.  Will more riots help or hurt in your opinion?
