Mom has now settled down into the nursing home life, for the most part. Still tryna call her when i can so she doesn't feel abandoned.i thought this would chill me out, yet i just got done struggling thru a random bit of stress sickness that hit me outta nowhere.

We flew my mom out to AZ to get her into a nursing home. she is currently neo dodging all our attempts to get her to step foot into it, and her coming home isn't an option. FML

hey so update on this whole situation, i was dealing with an awful lot when i started this thread, i was and still am the main caretaker for my mother who has been diagnosed with dementia within the last month or so, on top of the stage 4 cirrhosis we already knew she had. I'm in a slightly better position in that I am at least being compensated for my efforts taking care of my mom now, and as a family we think we've got my mom's romance scamming problem handled, so that's been a relief.

having said that, i am still committed to GTFO of here when i can, but now its looking like Mexico is gonna be a lot easier. Plus, the level of care my mom needs is a lot cheaper in Mexico so her pension would go a lot farther.

so turns out I'm still unemployed, and i'm an asshole for even implying that my family could help me out, given that i'm the primary caretaker for my mom and ive had to sell my car just to keep the household running while everyone else fails to rise to the occasion. Such a fucking prick, me.

 welp, due to a lack of spots at Ye Olde Birthday entertainer factory, i am in fact, NOT going to be a party entertainer. Guess its back to selling my personal belongings



PS the HR lady was named Eris. I cant make this shit up.

so bad news is, unemployment has sidestepped having to pay me in a way so dumb it would overload my brain if i had to elaborate, so it looks like i'm gonna need to build up a nest egg before i can fly the coop. Goods news is i've been tentatively hired by a children's entertainment company to do birthday entertainment. so yeah I'm gonna be a birthday clown.

I love these stories. Its like living in a WH40K prequel fanfic.
