Apple Talk / Re: Identity
« on: January 03, 2021, 04:12:27 pm »

Reflecting about identity is the final step in a psychoanalytical process and even within this field its considered heresy to a certain degree.

It's not easy, it's dangerous if forced, but it also has the most potential for benefit.

Even the thing of 2008 that they copy pasted from was already outdated... which means they themselves had copy pasted from outdated papers as well.  :lulz:

... so by all means squeak and divert her attention from the rest of us.

I will do my best. I will also work something clever about squeaky toys into the acknowledgements for you.

I like this.

Personally, in a sense, Eris is like a rottweiler and we're her chewtoys; so by all means squeak and divert her attention from the rest of us.

And i would recommend never asking her to surprise you.

"If you do not expect the unexpected you will not find it, for it is not to be reached by search or trail."
-Heraclitus

The people that have the least dynamic relationship with reality, its been argued, is psychotic people; there is no place for doubt or questioning in their system, they see things that no one else can see or perceive or understand, so surely it means EVERYONE ELSE is wrong.

Accepting reality on its own terms, being capable of perceiving the unexpected and having doubt, requires a certain level of emotional fortitude - and good luck trying to teach or transmit that to someone.

This reminds me of the time Altered assaulted my email address with spam just to upset me, she succeeded. If you tolerate that, you should tolerate big penis pills all over the place. If not, someone needs to tell Altered she crossed a line. I didn't do it, because I wouldn't, but the irony is hilarious.

EDITED TO ADD: Altered hasn't posted in some time, and when she did she was suffering from multiple maladies. I would be comforted if she said something, believe it or not, I worry about her. For very good reason. It would cause me much less worry if she posted.

TBH you had it coming (assuming it was even her) - people dont usually take it kindly when someone is making creepy comments about oneself.

And being "too psychotic or autistic" to recognize social queues or right from wrong is not an excuse.

I'm at the point where I feel everything that's wrong is "systemic".  But it's like, not exactly the system, it's how we baked bullshit into a pretty good way of doing things since the country began, like making bread with too much salt.  The bread is awful, but you can't do anything about it.

I'll wait for you to get some gloves, so you don't cut yourself on my edgy statement... ready?:

The true systemic problem is man itself.

So watch it, buster.

One alternative conceptualization of trauma is: that it is borne out of excessive cognitive/sensorial stimulus that we do not have a chance to process.

This "buildup" of raw representations and psychical material can happen in a slow creep over the years, or it can happen in a single extreme event, or whatever in between these poles.

Personally, i never ever "think" if i dont have to, without a Word document or a pen and paper where i dump my thoughts, because otherwise youre not making progress, akin to a dog chasing its own tail.

Gauge and valve the experiences you subject yourself to, lest you want to get overwhelmed... if you dont control the influx, then go see a professional.

Baby has become very mobile in the last few days, everything in the house is now a death trap. The new game is pulling herself up in the crib and toppling over.

Herself is taking extended maternity so we're down to the one income, which isn't a problem but I've cut some costs till April such as my Patreons, Queen G I think was the only person I had from here on it and I'd like to restore that come April

Id give money but ive been running on the red for years... I think it really goes unspoken, but we really appreciate your investment on the website.

I'm more worried about what he's doing to sabotage the country just to make Biden look bad.

I heard he pulled out troops from Middle East without warning or chance to prepare for it, so i suppose some people are gonna die... i dont see how he can pin that on Biden tho.
