My favourite is the simpsons character that's kinda funny but just barely crosses the funny threshold because it's the simpsons and then you realize that the entire show is like that, but then once again something clever in a way you never thought before jumps out at you and you realize you like the simpsons for good reasons again.

You know that feeling, come to think of it I get it a lot, with Seinfeld too, but after a while i accepted the mundane dry jewishish humor, the driest in a bad way schaudenfraude sorta way the script wobbles through the actors, and on that level, doesn't that sorta seep into real life too?

Like that persistent realization that the cashier at seven eleven has transacted cash and rote pleasantries exponentially times mundaner than even you have yourself, how that meaningless moment echoes not only through our public comings and goings but into our families themselves, what does it mean?

When we run through the gamut of agony and sorrow, pity and rebirth, glorious flight only to come again to the point we are always at it seems, where where are gazing at our own meandering questions wondering if the questions themselves are good enough to get the right answers, and throughout all this I find myself typing this, like it was a last line of communicating that might actually have real implications on the future, like I stand nothing to gain from my own thoughts, or can I value myself and my own creations of my imagination as real things? Can you? It seems like everyone does in some way.

Though it's obvious that we create our own value somehow we don't recognize it all the time in others?

There is a gap, that is, hell is other people.

Two vast and trunkless legs of stone / Cats.
May 10, 2011, 04:33:03 PM
I'm going to train my cat to play the piano. The final note is an octave above the rest and it triggers a cowboy to lasso the cat in piano wire of which both ends are attached to rabid horses charging in opposite directions.

Or Kill Me / just a little thing
August 06, 2010, 08:30:43 AM
in this pseudo industrial residential bit of winnipeg that is home right next to the tracks is this tree, and some bushes and in the comfortable part there is a mattress, some chairs and a home, maybe, it's for some vagrant but no it's really something the kids put together to play house in. no one sleeps there. it's a sign of my home and anyone who knows that real people live and play everywhere. there are no psychos vying to take sense from you. sense is a bed some food here and there and maybe a laugh or two at dinner. as words spin past and echoes of your fellow life whorl, there is only one real thing happening, it's play. some person once killed an infinite number of monkeys and infinite amount of times and then at night imagined the works of shakespeare and forgot before something lovely and happier dreamed on them. take a walk down to your local friendly psych ward, it's full of jokes. an act, a dream within life. let me wear a top hat and march downtown in my pajamas i mean it really is the least bit eccentric, it was so easy. i took a hard left into the sex shop and checked if they had any quad dildos, they sure didn't but maybe and probably they forgot five minutes later. haven't you once laughed at an animal pretending to live like you? those people aren't people, they are your hope for everything to say, "hello i am one of you, i will react to you and give unto you what you ask, even if you now you dont want this, at the bottom of your heart". if we are all human we are all insane if we are all insane we are all thinking that humans are all insane. here is a parable:
twelve different bibles walked into a bar, the bartender asked what they would like, they all wanted vodka and coke, the ninth bartender wrote the orders down and a street urchin wandered in, he told himself to never wander in anywhere ever, so he wandered out, the drinks were prepared, drank swallowed guzzled garbled and what have you, after that the third bartender asks, so now, what wisdom haveth you fortune telling virtuous loves of literature to teach a lowly common wretch like me?" every second bible smile/frowned, and said the same thing, we do not contain anything but words, all we can say is what has been said, the next thing to happen is going to before you will describe it, scribing a half a letter won't ease your suffering, now read us. read us. envelop your life and soul into everything we say, here is a law and rule to swallow, gulp and with garish intent fall into me, fall into me me me me me me me me me me me, and not me said the twelfth reality. the seventh bartender laughed, he ruled, "it is foolish for you to have not said anything about the fact that there are twelve of you and at least nine of us to have prepared you a drink, and for you to smile and frown at once so quickly"...
...all these heathens at once continued.

SOCHASTIC COMPLICITY

THE UNASSIGNMENT OF CONTROL

Preferring anonymity, relaxed havens, office spaces of thought are
springing excitedly across the planet. Epistomological thought sublimates
readily into jelly pool mass, recursively transcribed into digitalization,
wanton technological convergance utters this whining howl, coming from
the belly of our new lifeform, our new mind connecting writhing and
scowling with it's tentacular tendrils snaking surreptitiouslythrough our
culture, this saucy blackberry, a roving satellite, tubes pinging deep
into my orifices, my brain is now soulfully connected to the final
underpinning: knowledge weans itself into a thin mobius strip revealing
to the enlightened it's absurd truth about complicity, no man I'm telling
you once again, I didn't do it.

okay im not sure what it is is,
it's made primarily of imagery
it's supposed to be rhythmic,
in an odd way a provoking way

Or Kill Me / the stars (maybe)
April 22, 2008, 08:59:57 AM
i have a small idea

how much do you think non verbal, abstract training has to do with our conscience?
hypothetically do you think humans can be relentlessly tortured and brainwashed to be ruled by shapes on a dartboard? theoretically, pavels dog and that sort of stuff considered....

in our millions of years the one physical constant has been the stars, these little blips of perfect black and white contrast, the most abstract thing, always always constant, maybe they did rule us BUT it had no meaning maybe they affect us so not badly or measurably.

maybe this is religion,
maybe this is god but the realization that god IS unseeable and omnipresent and ultimately chaotic is ture with this

or i could be wrong about the stars (ya i dont see how i could be (proven) right (or wrong)) but this is something else and im just preaching to the choir

or i just thought this might be an interesting wordset to squeeze over the Discordian Forum Post Thought template

anyways you can
-talk about how much abssstract visual cues rule us
-or maybe go on with the stars shi

Or Kill Me / Fuck Advertising
January 06, 2008, 12:19:17 PM
As a discordian advertising in every exorbitant mutated form is against my religion for a few reasons the most convenient of which for satire purpose is that it seems to claim straight faced that words have meaning. Okay. Next thing, advertising is the absolute lowest form of culture imaginable... the facts:

-It's basic structure implies that culture is twisted and gloryholed for money. (wish i had some)

-The scope of it's presence in your conscious is condensed to smallest space and time, giving people the impression that strong emotions, deep values, REASONS, can be delivered in bite-sized form when you really need a huge fucking cake.

-It's repetition is eroding our value of human creativity, it's simplified artistic endeavor over and over day in and day out that when we see a kandinsky masterpiece we don't see flowing contrasting juxtapositions of form color and space but a whole 'colorful lil thingy that could be on my gap skirt if it wasnt so complicated lol!'

These are some of the reasons I would enjoy being a millionaire to buy tv time and fill it with wordless dada bs AND ITS NOT FUCKING VIRAL MARKETING.

and also a guerrilla ad vandalism covert op unit

inexorably steering fast chris columbus off the map
let's whittle while worth is judged, nay
as i profess to my father, let's go with liquid thought
i see, meaning and rational sucks life, magic
i say, magical realism, dadaist contrivances will live
will grip and wheel whithin jumping complex thought
seething deeply unknowing context context context
is all that is meaning. all that is meaning levels everything
it all equals all zero.
now let us see, untowards the dark light black and white
let's smash rocks loudly be gray loudly learn that,
nothing exists
it's all language.

Literate Chaotic / Salmon Rushdie.
October 27, 2007, 01:59:44 AM
Has anyone been interested in his work? I find his work, beautiful, sophisticated, in my opinion, expressed discordianism, and relevant to this forum, of ideas... A lot of this mirrors my own thought stemming from, yes, the initial seed planted that compelled to haphazardly grab Illuminatis and subsequently pore through RAW lectures, his whole output almost, and this absurd bizarre idea  of conflict being two things at once, meandering back to Robert's own postulates involving quantum theory, his work hits directly on the physical real crux of non-belief that discord suggests....

His literary style, combining the divine with the real, is an acutalization of this (humor) discordianism, or something..

Here's something that interested me just now..

EUPHEMISM

I want to look like the white part of an egg clinging on and around the yellow yolk of the word ephemism. Note it.

...It all started with a plumage of white material that excited your hand with its freezing qualities. The blanket of snow covered everything, even especially the other cold harder packed snow that formed long gently rolling hills along the side of the street. I was engrossed in relating this new complexity in my simple walk home from the bus stop, it was only about half a city block long but the walk forced a breath of cold air through my sensory mandibles. A breath of air that was the only remanant of my prior life where I spent my days and lungs working hard to be clever and come up with ingenius ways for my friends and I to enjoy our heyday in the snow. Just pure childish escapism in the living cold, and breathing snow hills dumped by the city trucks.
But that old time was gone, I was about to embark on a journey of time today. A motherfucking boring, uncomfortably warm and runny noseish one.

The day of sitting on the chair.
Dying in the boringly warm, and mucked up network of information forced in my mind through the internet.
Gross.
And wholly uncomfortable.

Tripped out. And groovy. Smooth. And Rockin'. I let the flow, spin out, and roll. This music ate away at it all. All of it. The teachers, the police and the parents. Haha, yeah whatever man. The music.
Woah. The snow!
It's there!
What is it?

I could let my view stay there forever.
A small black object floated out. "For sure" it said.

No! But I have to go! I have to around the house, through the door, and up the stairs man!
And I have to sit there all day!

The black object retreated back in the snow and said "Yeah, you know."

Oh my god, please! Please!

Here is where I began to run, I ran. I panted because of all the time up in my room had rendered my biological movement systems totally out, of, shape.Totally.

Damn!, Why?

In hindsight I retorted like a slither outyes. Damn, I'm out. I lost the euphemism. Or did I? Where is it? That's right. You have no clue. Leave it there. Ok man.
