So it was a long time coming but we met in the flesh the other day. Something that I'd obviously repressed so deep I didn't even know was an actual thing came out. It's like I've had this massive hole in me the whole time, a gaping chasm that I wasn't aware existed until it suddenly filed up. I think this was what I was meant to feel in the delivery room when I was too emotionally retarded to feel it. I'm looking around at all the fathers I know and thinking "Why the fuck didn't you tell me it was like this!?" and then realising they did, it's just I didn't understand them at the time.

If I was president, nobody would ever sleep again.

This has to happen. You are the government humanity deserves!

I'm still not 100% convinced that all the arguments against porn aren't actually arguments against assholes. Most porn is sick and exploitative is no different from most music is totally unlistenable bullshit or most art is just some fuckhead shitting paint on a canvas for a paycheck. Difference wi porn in the west is there's 2000+ years of weird catholic guilt and repression added to the mix and that drives it more underground than shiny pop starlets doing a line or two to get them through the gig. Sex is badwrong and evil by papal decree so it stands to reason that mostly shady fuckers will be involved in it. There's a ton of good porn out there but it's buried under a million tons of crap. Just like there's a ton of good music and a ton of good art. If someone does something totally cunty to another human being they should be stomped, whether that's dumping a bunch of preteens in a shipping container and hoping half of them make it to the warehouse or pointing guns at them and telling them do dig up rare earth minerals for apples latest underpowered shiny bullshit.

Scotland will do what they did the last time and shite out of any semblence of a future they might have had a crack at. Pretty sure Salmond has been got to. Hence the Sturgeon smear and subsequent SNP divide and conquer play. Scottish nationalists will feel the Bern and the English nationalists will clean up and sing about the 90's and red hands and white horses and whatever the fuck else it is they think their ideology means. Subjugation and stockholm syndrome need not apply.  :lulz:

This week in crypto

Morgan Stanley - in.
Goldman Sachs - in - predicting $130 this year (they're nothing if not conservative)
Visa - in. Shifting USDC on Etherium network no less - go to the top of the class!
Mastercard - paddling like a bunch of little FOMO ducks trying to catch up

BTC Volatility down, no surprises there
BTC/S&P 500 correlation down, same with gold - side bonus, makes it a more attractive asset class for diverse portfolios

Mainstream adoption - never going to happen apparently :lulz:

Before I make a decision on something like this, I like to listen to as many for/against arguments as I can. I love you guys to death but regurgitated propaganda bullet points aint what I'm talking about when I say "arguments". With that in mind, this one flashed across my radar a couple of days back. Proxy wars are much more fun cos they're a lot less effort, right? Mike Green does a much better job than you guys and Pomp does a much better job than me.

Yeah, they're still talking about bitcoin so most of this is just covering basic principles that were hashed out half a decade ago but that's mainly just the clickbait factor. If they'd called it the best DeFi debate ever, they'd have been preaching to the choir and garnered a tenth of the ad impressions. Also Green wouldn't have understood the subject so wouldn't have been invited along ;)

Good stuff, posting here for use elsewhere.

Been thinking about this one all day. The more I unpack it, the more I realise it doesn't apply to just q-anon. It's subjective reality and the underlying primate psychology that gives rise to it almost in it's entirety.

Most of these fiat-crypto projects are building on etherium. Not sure if the US are planning to go the same route but it wouldn't surprise me if they did something retarded instead

So today was fun. Turned up an hour late cos I had a brainfart first thing and was only looking at the minute hand for when it was time to head out. I get there, check in and the next thing needle woman is fawning over the definition I have on my deltoids. I'm like enjoying the ego stroke and flirting a bit back, suddenly she lets out a squeal like Lambert in Alien and I turn round and she's got my blood over her face. Turn out I'm a squirter, who knew! Dunno what the fuck she hit but was was epic lulz. Whole college gym full of punters all like WTF whiplash when she yelped. Army dudes all stinkeyeing me like I've pulled out a detonator or something. Meanwhile the queue of punters still waiting on theirs are starting to look they're having second thoughts about the whole deal. Best laugh I've had since lockdown started. Highly recommended, would totally do it again! :lulz:

I do not think a Singularity-level event is in our near future. There's no reason to believe it, none of the drivers of such a thing are reaching the point where they could shape the world.

Even if it is, unless it's a post-scarcity gay luxury space communism sort of future, it will not lead to crypto becoming a replacement for fiat currency. Anything else won't change the fundamental problems underlying crypto as a universal currency replacement. Crypto requires power and connectivity to use -- these are the barriers, and they are baked into the very concept of crypto. They're absolutely insurmountable until everyone has power and connectivity and can RELY on having those things EVEN IN AN EMERGENCY, like say, a freak ice storm stomping Texas flat. And you'd have to be a ridiculously idiotic optimist to believe that THAT future is only a few years away; that's Star Trek-tier.

When did I say I thought this was going to be utopia? This is primates discovering a new technology. Think Facebook, google and amazon but infinitely more powerful. Blockchain started with currency back in 2012. Now it's moved on to all of economics and is starting to creep into contract law and government. This is bigger than just putting the banking system out of business, that's merely what happens first.

There you go chaotic - much better quote. Be a bit longer but, with a couple of miracles I'll still be here to crow 8)
