This year has been an especially bad year for mass shooting incidents.

Just to add to the list, a 15 year old was arrested for making threats on social media that he would kill the school cheerleaders for not sending him nudes.

If this was in a country where guns are rare, he'd have probably been ignored or ridiculed. It's sad that this kind of infantile threat has to be taken seriously.

Krita is an amazing free painting suite. I'd recommend it over Photoshop for the sheer number of effects you can achieve:

Nice drawings BTW.

Nice work Telarus.

Shouldn't the holes through the knife blade have slightly smooth edges? Does Maya have a way of editing curve creases like blender? That would be a quick way of sorting that out and making the blade sharper.

The fantasy viking airship sounds interesting. You should make it be all steam-punk.

But but but... lighthouses exist to prevent shipwrecks. Does he explain the contradiction?

Like every other contradiction in his ramblings, of course not.

I tried to read The Children Of The Matrix for laughs and had the same experience as Xooxe. It bored the living daylights out of me.

The book he wrote about his journey of accidental enlightenment in Brazil (or wherever it was) took the biscuit though. It was a real page-turner until the 'lightning & rain just for him moment' where he felt God enter him. That part became uncomfortable to read because it was obvious that the phenomena he was experiencing was the onset of full-blown mania.

Corel Draw was the best art tool in the industry last time I checked, stick with it Fred. I'm sure it will keep up with your artistic skills better than anything else will.

That angel drawing is incredible.

Blue cheese and salmon is delicious. Try that if you like cheese which can pull a man's head off.

Thanks for the tips Cain, the 'rough edge' one seems like it could help a lot.

Oh I know Im a noobie
And I do make some stupid mistakes
But nothing of this magnitude.

I did stare at the preview for a good ten minutes or so before posting it. However, the nice text formatting won me over. The ten minutes of staring at the preview without canceling makes the flames in return seem totally justified.

Silly, silly little me.

We're new, but we're flaming another new guy in an attempt to seem like we're one of the incrowd.

Keep it up and maybe I'll give you a star or a smiley face sticker.

When the time comes, I'll take the star.  :)

yerp? like with the buttony thang?

awesome! :mittens:

I'll have to second that. It's an almost flawless representation of my rendering studio. Minus the coffee serving midgets of course.

Back on topic though. There's been a lot more workings happening on the 3D chao. After many hours of tireless slaving over emulating the gold shader from Luxrender in blender, here's what it looks like now. (Yes, there was no good gold shaders available on the internet for blender).

This was rendered as a test, it turned out OK. Should have turned the lights up a little though.

Here is the finished shader with a white sky lighting everything up.

So now this means that I don't have to wait five days to see how it looks anymore. WOOHOO!

The indigoblade self-reference counter:

In your last post, you referred to yourself 15 times.

Well done, you are a winner! Please take anything off the top shelf as your prize.

Do what it says. Burn the rope.

Hasn't this already been posted in this thread?

Counterstrike 2D.

It's like counterstrike crossed with GTA2.

Or Kill Me / Re: Shit that bugs me
January 06, 2009, 05:38:13 PM
My personal favorite example of bad parenting isn't that bad, but it pisses me off something chronic:

Parents who don't tell their flock of brats to walk single-file on the pavement so others can pass unhindered.

This is worse when the parent and their children are hideously overweight thereby increasing their ability to block the path.

I blew up once over this on my way to Church with my Mother (yes, I was going to wind them up). Some fat bitch with her fat children watched us walk up to her without saying a damn thing to the kids. All she could do was throw us an embarrassed facial expression. I blew up big time, I walked into the middle of the road and screamed something along the lines of:

"Don't mind me, I'll walk in the fucking road. I'm not getting in your way here am I you fat cow? How about controlling your fat fucking kids for a change so you can appear considerate?"

Regardless to say, my Mother was mortified and was rightfully worried about taking me to her church.

Tim DeChristopher has so much mojo it hurts. I wonder if he knows how many people would now happily:

a) FEED HIM.
b) CLOTHE HIM.
c) SERENADE HIM.
d) OFFER BODY TO HIM.

It's insulting how George W. Bush has spent his time as president showing us how much more stupid, ruthless and untrustworthy he can be. He should have been impeached a long time ago to show future presidents that they can't get away with this crap.

I didn't know about this auction, it comes as a bit of a blow after watching this inspiring video:

:lulz: Thats AWESOME. And now they'll never get auctioned off because they can't auction until a month later and Bush et al. will be gone by then.

According to one of the articles, the bidders are allowed to withdraw their bids if they're upset with being 'ripped off'. They can stick with it if they want. If they can't do it a second time, won't they just roll back the bidding to the last authentic bidder?
