Title: New Archive of Discordian Texts
Post by: Rev. Judas IMOK on May 22, 2012, 12:56:16 AM
Hello all!

I am fairly new here and intro'd myself in the Introduction thread on this board. I have made a new website which I have links to a bunch of Discordian Texts which I have found from info on this site and others. However it seems to require javascript which I was not aware of. So I am providing the links to all the books below and I will continually modify this post to reflect any additions to the list.

There will also be some miscellaneous documents as well but right now it is just a bunch of books and a couple pamphlets. I don't believe anything here is violating copyright but if so I apologize in advance. Just let me know which are problematic and I will remove the link from this post. In any case, all the links work as far as I know and you can download to your hearts content. All files are PDF's or JPG's.

If for some reason something doesn't work or if you know of a book you want me to add, please let me know and I will remedy/add it asap.

Thank you to hirley0 for helping me fix the links and the suggestion of including the file size next to each. Sorry I didn't think of that before.  :fnord:

It regrettably may load slow. Also it is HTML 5, not sure if that will matter. It seems to show up on Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera without any issues. I will look into it some more. Sorry it isn't working for you.   :?

Anyone else not able to access it?

Yay javascript  :sadbanana:

I love the idea, just, even in firefox it doesn't seem to be working....also I'm not too thrilled about having to enable scripts just to view the page.

Not to be a downer or anything, just one of those peeves I have I guess.

Welcome to PD though  :thumb:

My apologies. I am very new to making webpages and I was not aware javascript was related to HTML5. I am not happy about that being the case either honestly.

Regardless, I feel like quite the idgit. I know exactly how to resolve this issue. :-) Thank you for bringing this problem to my attention.

I have edited the initial post here and have just included all the books I have with links for download. They are all PDF files hosted from Dropbox. No rar, exe or torrents.

Enjoy.  :)

Never hurts.  Finding shit HERE is next to fucking impossible, because Faust hates us all and borks the search function up for cheap kicks, and we haven't had an archive board since Synaptix was killed by a flying piss jug back in 2007.

seeing a blank screen i then hit CNT- to zoom out. The right edge came over
to the left & i could see what it was that i was missing . As a minimalist

No, silly.  Obviously, if someone wants to read Discordian literature, they should look for it by going to the only subforum of which I'm a mod.

Like I said, rational.
yep i agree: EVEn i could find exactly what you were refer to
and had no trouble finding it very quickly | As for new B | lookii ?/?
those shortened links fit well on A page it is true However they can
cause some users sum problems | i suggest you use hyperlink |
up above the line of round smiley faces there is a line of square boxes
he first one might say Insert Image & #2 [globe] is hyper link ?
when you click that you get {url}{/url} i replaced some stuff again
{ that is 2 inside of 12 # } etc
once you see the hyper link code the fun begins move the curser one
character to the left and put an = after the l to get l=
after that enter the long link l=http and then again move curser right
and copy the "Baloney" between the brackets . if this is to confusing

hit Quote  and it can be seen in a quote window HOW this is done. TH'nks

Telarus, thank you very much for the welcome.  :)

hirley0, thank you for you helpful post. I adjusted the initial post accordingly.

PROFOUNDLY RETARDED CHARLIE MANSON, I am glad it is helpful. As I said, if there is anything I should add and you have it, please send it my way and I will include it happily.  :)

LMNO, first I wanted to say I really enjoy your stuff here and thank you for all of that (that goes for all the other authors here as well). As for my choice of placement for this thread, I apologize it is not in a more "rational" place. I was already in the Principia Discussion section and I just went and clicked "New Topic".
If this thread should be moved, by all means go for it.

That all being said, I really am enjoying my time here. Thank you all!  :fnord:

Thank you both for you kind comments.

Basically I have been into this for a long time but never had many books to enjoy. I recently decided to get really involved but wasn't sure how. So I decided to look for all the various books or other sources of info I could and found all the sites I knew of were all dead and the books that were on those sites were gone.

After finding some books here and there online, I decided to collect all I could find and kind of give back. I got them free and I know many others want them too. So I figure this is what my primary focus will be here.

I am making MANY backups on various hard-drives/USB-drives and websites. I also am printing all that I can so if anything happens to the links here, I will be able to fix them asap.

I know I keep saying that over and over, but I guess I am just a bit obsessive over this issue. There is so much good material out there and I really don't want to see it lost just because a link gets broken or a online service dies or suddenly requires one to jump through hoops to get the files requested.

There will be more content coming within the next 24 hours I have received, approx 30+ new files. Mostly pamphlets and other fun stuff I will be including. Originally it was going to be just for "books" but really, please send me anything. Pamphlets, posters, other artwork... anything. I am not claiming anything as my own, nor am I altering anything. Just send it my way.

:)

Telarus: Thank you for the compliment.  :) As for the link you provided, it is rather coincidental that you linked that particular thread as I was already reading that earlier yesterday. You are correct though, that is something I really am interested in. I am actually planning on making a PDF of some of the info from that thread and including it in the links here. Really useful stuff!

That aside, I have added more files thanks to Cramulus. I believe there are 30 more files for a grand total of 80 which are archived here and elsewhere. Most of the new files are only single page pamphlets, there are some booklets and pics as well.

The list of titles available to download you will find at the initial post (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php/topic,32486.0.html) and my own site here (http://www.wix.com/nmrk2359/dolmmm) is:

Tangentially related, it looks like the BIP wiki is working again.

You might want to check it out IMOK, it's located here.  www.blackironprison.com (http://www.blackironprison.com)

That is, if you haven't happened upon it already.

Hey Judas, is there a single URL I can spread around the internet that accesses all these files, like a portal site or something?

Yeah, I seriously hope he sticks around, this is rad.

Hey there!

Yeah I have already come across the wiki and have a bunch of stuff from the wiki I have downloaded and am going to upload onto my own site but I want to convert all the info to PDF files. I have a bunch of the rants and things. Plus I have all the "meme-bomb" pages that I am converting still.

I really am happy this is such a hit. And yes I fully plan on sticking around here. I love this place!  :)

Oh and LMNO, I know you were already given the link, but for anyone else curious, the link for all these files is at the bottom of the initial post as well.

I am going to go off-topic for a moment if I may. My apologies for bringing up an old subject and some may see this a no-brainer but it was brought to my attention and I had done some reading on this and wanted to put down what I had come up with.

I will be making this post into a PDF and including it among the downloadable texts on my site.

First I want to say a big thank you to Telarus for working on this issue here... http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php/topic,27926.msg988915.html#msg988915
As is shown in the above thread, the Discordian Document Numbering System isn't numbering the pages of books with 5 digits like "page 00023" for example. Set that understanding aside.

What my goal is, is to simply and succinctly lay out exactly WHAT the Discordian Document Numbering Sysytem is, at least in relation to the 4th edition of the Principia Discordia... AND provide PROOF. The original 1st edition has I believe three different numbering styles in use but I think they are all related. However I believe the examples used in the 4th edition are pretty much recognized as the norm. So this document will not cover the 1st edition. If you need a copy of the 4th ed., you can find it here (http://db.tt/UYAtkhsA)

If you look at the PD 4th edition and go to PDF page 50, you will find the POEE Disorganizational Matrix. At the top of the page is a Document Number which we will be trying to decipher. It shows:

ODD# III(b)/4,i;18Aft3135

Now I should HOPE that everyone here can figure out the 18Aft3135. But for all the poor shcmucks that cant, it is a reference to the date the document was written according to the Discordian Calendar on PDF page 64. This is "18th Day of Aftermath, 3135 or November 6th, 1969. Pretty simple stuff.
By the way I know I said I wasn't going to cover the 1st edition, but if you see in it a numbering style that has VVM as part of the date, the VVM stands for "Patron St. Van Van Mojo" which represents the month (season?) of Discord. I have seen people trying to decipher that one and thought I would just throw that in here. Sorry.

Now from the beginning of the ODD# we see, III(b). If we look at the Disorganization Matrix on page 50, look at category III:
"III) THE HOUSE OF THE RISING HODGE"
Let's assume this is what the III is referencing. Now for the (b). Let us figure it is referencing the second category in the House of the Rising Hodge which is:
"B. The Bureau of The POEE Epistolary, and The Division of Dogmas"

So for now, let us take this as our working solution for the first part. Now what of the "/4,i"?

Well the / is just a divider so just ignore it. As for the "4,i" let us refer back to the Disorganizational Matrix. Category IV (4), we have:
"IV) THE HOUSE OF THE RISING PODGE"
Again, let's just go with this as what the "4" is leading to. Now the "i"... well "i" is just a lower case "I" which is the roman numeral for 1. So let us look at the first category under the House of the Rising Podge which leads us to:
"A. Office of My High Reverence, The Polyfather"
Which as we know can only mean Malaclypse the Younger.

So "assuming" we have figured this out, this document says it is from The Polyfather who is part of the House of the Rising Podge and (for?) the The Bureau of The POEE Epistolary, and The Division of Dogmas which is part of the House of the Rising Hodge on November 6th 1969.

All well and good but can this be verified or is it just a wild theory? Oh... I can prove it (as well as you can prove anything in this religion). The proof is ALSO on page 50 if you look at the stamp at the bottom of the page... it says:

OFFICIAL - POEE
Head Temple, San Francisco
HOUSE OF THE RISING PODGE
The Bureau of The POEE Epistolary

Notice those last two lines? Most people casually glancing at this figures The Bureau of The POEE Epistolary is a subsection of HOUSE OF THE RISING PODGE... but we know this is not so and I am certain it is not a spelling error or contradiction. It is talking about two different things. It seems to match up with my conclusions above and we can (I believe) safely assume this was written by the Polyfather and the calendar aspect is a no-brainer. So in conclusion, this is how we figure/decipher the Discordian Documnent Numbering System.

Hope this all was clear and can be of use to people. I give credit to helping me understand this to Telarus and those at the link posted above.

We need something new to call him.  He cannot be allowed to run loose without a label.  I mean, he could, but it would be wrong.

That is a VERY good illumination, and I thank you for it indeed.

I am impressed.

This new person does not fit into the Holocaustian/BGC axis vs Hippie/Mad Doktor axis of Discordianism.

We need something new to call him.  He cannot be allowed to run loose without a label.  I mean, he could, but it would be wrong.

I shall have to brood over this for a while.

Hello again everyone. Only because I want to be absolutely certain these files stay freely accessible to everyone without having to login/signup or torrent anything, AND if one service goes down, there is a backup, one of the alternate services I am using is Google's Drive program which has replaced the Google Doc's service.

I have set the folder with all the files plus a few others to public access. So you do not need a Google account or anything. Just click the link and you will see all available files and you can download what ever you need. The link is here (http://goo.gl/zxEzh) and I will also include it on the initial post.

I will continue to update this thread with any new files that are added and I will continue to update the initial post with individual links as well in conjunction with my website. This makes more work for me but I enjoy it.

Again if there are any files you want me to add, please refer me to them or send them my way. Even if it is just rants or whatever else. If you want it to get out there, I am interested.

I know not everyone here is a RAW fan, but I feel it necessary to include some of his material here. I have been informed it is ok to link this here as RAW was ok with free distribution of his stuff. So for all who want and/or need some of this material I am now providing:

Cosmic Trigger (3.9 MB)
Illuminatus! Trilogy (2.4 MB)
Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy (1.5 MB)
Masks of the Illuminati (1.6 MB)
Prometheus Rising (4.0 MB)
Quantum Psychology (8.0 MB)
Coincidance (3.1 MB)
The Illuminati Papers (1.4 MB)
Wilhelm Reich in Hell (3.3 MB)

Currently the above files are only on the initial post (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php/topic,32486.0/msg,1175002.html) and at my backup (http://goo.gl/zxEzh) but not on my website yet. That will be remedied later today... or I may just leave this as a PD forum thing only. Not sure yet.

I think it's a good move.  Perhaps as their own sub-section, at the bottom of the list or something.

I didnt always agree with RAW, and I still think he likely deserves a place on the list.

Yep, I completely agree. And you read my mind. I am giving him his own section at the bottom. Any new files I add will go just above it keeping his separate. Admittedly I actually like his stuff, but being aware that some don't, I will keep it separate.

Also I know that some people first come to Discordianism by way of RAW and I would think people would like to see his stuff here.

Doing more digging through the forums I came across two more files for addition to my list.

The first is not really Discordian so much as it is a "WTF did I just see?!" kind of book.
The second should make some people here laugh... maybe.

Codex Seraphinianus (56.1 MB)
HIMEOBS Training Manual (229 KB)

Enjoy! As usual you know where to find them.  :fnord:

Are you familiar with 23 apples of Eris? It seems to me Cramulus deciphered at least part of the Discordian document numbering system at some point, here: http://23ae.com/2011/11/annotated-principia-discordia-page-7/

I only say because you mentioned it elsewhere in this thread.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was not aware of it and I greatly appreciate it. I will look through this more.  :)

It's taken me a while to get to this but I've got the repository on the .com domain online.

One) I need to credit you on the page Judas
Two) I Need to fix the layout a little bit
Three) Blurb at the top of the page to describe what people are looking at.
Four) ????

Remind me again why we haven't compiled all this shit into some awful pop-culture-friendly format with a bow on top and sold it in book form for the betterment of children throughout the world?

Exactly. It's been a head wrecking source of drama in the past. Which is unfortunate because it would be cool to get the message out into the wild blue yonder.

For me, it's both attribution (and editing) and the respect factor. I'll probably say yes to just about anything unless I'm planning on using it in (or it's an excerpt from) a copyrighted work elsewhere, but a motherfucker had better ASK. The few times I've had problems, it was related to not being asked.

:fnord:

The Discordia Totalis (http://db.tt/zkjAdoFw) (19.2 MB)
Containing the PD4thEd., Metaclysmia Discordia, Summa Discordia, Book of Eris, Zenarchy & Zenarchist's Cookbook, and the Apocrypha Discordia in a single 660pg PDF.

1979 Sears - Roebuck Catalog (http://goo.gl/RxYoT) (2.3 MB)

Principia Discordia 1st edition (http://db.tt/MRfC1O2W) (4.6 MB)
Principia Discordia 4th Edition (http://db.tt/UYAtkhsA) (9.2 MB)

(Edited to sticky - Dok)

Hi folks, just for the record that is not the 1st edition of the Principia listed. The first part displays about a quarter of the material actually in PD 1. The second part, the appendix, is material lifted from a short lived site that Jon Swabey put together with me. It would be much appreciated, by your humbler author, that the appendix not be published in this manner, as it  includes some of the materials that will appear in my forthcoming Discordianism History project...other than that, I'm not gonna make a big beef about it, as I understand how our boys (Mal and Omar) were into Kopyleft...my concern is that it is unfortunately presented in a manner not consistent with when the materials originally appeared, and that none of it is explained or put into context. Hail Eris, I guess.

And technically, that's not the fourth edition, either... I'm currently working with two different publishers to bring out facsimiles of the 1st and 4th editions, and I also have the original pasteups Greg Hill made for the 4th edition, which we are currently figuring out how to display to the public.

The Loompanics edition is really the 6th edition. It gets a little complicated, but will all be explained in my Discordian History book project.

Ok... I can change the titles of them for my mirror of the library,

So the file first edition should be called?

And the fourth edition should be 6th right?

Well, I'm not sure how you would title the faux first edition. It is basically some excerpts from the 1st edition, and  other stuff mixed in, some of which has been modified. The second half of the book, the appendix, are materials that were lifted from the site Jon Swabey and I put together, without any attribution or notification. That's why it's a bit frustrating and perplexing to see how this all got mashed together and is now being presented as the 1st PD. I wouldn't begin to know what to call it.

As for the publication history of the PD, here is an excerpt from my forthcoming book on the History of Discordianism. It explains more about the fourth edition:

1st edition, subtitled Or How The West Was Lost, published in New Orleans, 1965, consisting of five copies.

2nd edition, 100 copies, Los Angeles, 1969

3rd edition, 500 copies, Tampa, 1969

4th edition, San Francisco, March 1970

5th Edition, subtitled A Caterpillar's Praise To The Butterfly, Or Final Statement of Malaclypse The Younger -- which consisted of a cover page, and a Western Union telegram page filled with the letter M -- inserted into the 4th edition PD as an addendum.

   Other later, and notable, editions...

   * Loompanics Unlimited edition

Two different versions of the Loompanics edition were published. The first, with a white cover, in September 1978

A second edition, published in 1980, featured a yellow cover, with a different cover illustration than the 1978 edition, and included an introduction by Robert Anton Wilson. Greg Hill oversaw the production of these two editions which, in essence, were reproductions of the 4th edition PD, but with different covers.

Hello everyone! I am here for the OP, Rev. Judas IMOK. Due to some issues with his epilepsy he has not been on the internet/computers much at all the last few months. Partly because of the effect his screen has on his eyes and also because more often than not, recently he is without an internet connection. He left me to deal with his archive and such. So, apologies for his sudden disappearance.

Anyhow, I am not able to edit his original post with any new books that you may have for me to add, but I can add them to his website. So if there is anything to add let me know. I shall also read through all the posts he has missed if there is anything there.

Sound logic is OK but Sight Logic, Touch Logic, Taste Logic and Smell Logic are also acceptable. Maybe Logic, may at times, find some sense of acceptance. Fuzzy Logic is generally reserved for when we have a good supply of MDMA. Techno Logic has its own subforum.

We used to accept Ill Logic until h0list tried to cure it... sadly it died due to an overdose (I tried to tell him that point one part per billion was way too much...)

Rev. Judas IMOK and I put together a compilation book that we wanted to give to the community here. It is contains nothing new and many of you likely already have all the contents of it individually. However for anyone new coming in here, I thought it would be good to have these books in a single PDF

The Principles of the Chao or How to Defend Yourself Against the REALLY Real DiscordiansTM (http://db.tt/d4kA93qT) (147.3 MB)

Along with a few random documents spread throughout the book and the PD, it contains

The Wise Book of Baloney,
The Et Cetera Discordia, (great book, but at 127MB, it pushes the overall size to 147MB)
The Black Iron Prison
and The Chao Te Ching.

We dedicate this PDF to the PD.com community and hope at least some you enjoy it. If not mistaken, all the contents except the PD originated from the community here so we have you all to blame.

Thank ya.

For more info about the logic behind the selection, I have more info at
