It's something to do with the nanny wall at work, I think. When I try to post in that one sub, it just blanks out whatever I've written and goes to a new post screen. Used to happen across the whole forum. Now it only happens in there.

Hitler's brown shirts didn't use violence to silence opinions they didn't like. They used violence to silence opinions that would have presented an obstacle to a bloody global conflict leading to millions of deaths by gas, bomb, bullet, starvation, disease, trauma, retribution, and shame.

He doesn't care harder than anyone in the history of the internet didn't care, and he'll PROVE IT by spending 40 minutes furiously typing up his lack of fucks given, so that we can understand how few fucks he gives. Then he'll come back and carefully respond to everyone's posts in order to drive home his complete apathy, and also to remind us that if we acknowledge that society treats us differently due to being, say, black or hispanic, that means that WE ARE THE REAL RACISTS. Not him; he doesn't see color, and as a white person he doesn't even care about being white or any of it. It doesn't affect him, after all, which means it doesn't affect anyone at all.

We, of course, will never know whether he's sincere, or just exploiting another angle. On the other hand, I'm not sure it matters. People usually become whatever they fake, hence the saying.

His appearance on Real Talk read to me like someone who could be dealing with repressing something clinical.

I hadn't really ever gotten that impression from any of the other footage of him I've watched, though, so maybe it was just the effects of being in way over his head.

I predict once he is done mewling he will perform an amazing about turn and try and work for the "liberal" press.  Just wait and see.  He's already on friendly terms with the Guardian's Laurie Penny.

I made the same prediction. It seems the logical next turn for a career snowflake.

[Potholes.]

I just got on a bike for the first time in almost 20 years.

Some thoughts:
-Riding a bike may be a skill that you never forget, but it's no less nerve-wracking and harrowing.
-Potholes.
-Stopping is hard because my feet don't touch the ground.
-Potholes.
-If I can relax my grip for a few seconds, it's really pleasant.
-FUCKING POTHOLES ARE TERRIFYING.

I didn't fall, but god damn there are a lot of potholes in my neighborhood.

I've been commuting by bicycle for much more of my adult life than I have driven. All those things have lost their terror. But cars still try to run me over on the reg. That never stops.

Its always akward when you are awaken by a paramedic jabbing his thumbs into your chest.
