Well, look what the cat dragged in.
:cuntpunch:
I don't know you, or your history. But there does seem to be an obvious contradiction between passive aggression such as "I suppose you can rally the sycophants" and "I'm not here to fight". So to this disinterested observer, you just come across as a lame troll attempt. That's all.
Listening to "What Makes the People Dance?" right now.
Tell your MC to shut the fuck up.
This music could actually be good if you used space.

Hmmm, I suppose you are right..I am not so much being passive aggressive as pretty much resigned to the fact that Roger will hate on me and many will follow suit just because Roger does...mebbe things have changed since I been around and nobody gives a fuck about Roger but, I doubt that..Truly though, I have no intentions of starting drama!

What do you mean? I think we utilize the space well....He does have a lot to say on some verses but, I think the delivery is pretty good....Seriously though, please elaborate and please be constructive.
You "utilize" the space "well". Which means you completely fill it with noise. Until there is no space left.
No matter how talented you are, if you don't know when to shut up, you will produce crap.
See, it ain't just a question of playing things that sound good. You have to leave room for them to echo in the mind of the listener.

Yes, and we have tried to minimalize our playing, I'm on bass BTW, to accentuate the vocals...Is your opinion that the emcee's lyrics are too wordy for the measures they are supposed to fit inside? Or do you feel his style or cadence is not in rhythym with the pocket?

You guys are consistent with each other at least, but it's too hyperactive. It slurs together and loses its funk...The rhythm has no impact.
Partly because of constipated phrasing. Instead of repeating short phrases, you might do better to use slightly longer phrases, or just make sure that you alternate phrases with silences.
It's not just the MC, it's all of you. Together.
Its like fast paced psychedelic jazz mixed with the Blacked Eyed Peas singer.
Goddess, ive had enough with nu-metal and all these "all embracing" fusions.
(In reference to "What Makes the People Dance?")
at minute 3:20 its nice to have a break from all the spam and bombardment.
Idk, get a new male singer that doesnt do pseudo-rapping... dont overlap everything please... and expand on the jazz-psychedelia.
I just want to strangle the MC and bash him with a chair :argh!:
Wait... Is this the Donkeyotay of old?
Listened to a few of your tracks. I dig it! Good rhythm, cool samples, some good lyrics in there too.
Props to you for getting out there and creating something.

Thanks Cramulus!
I like it, but I think your lyrics writer needs some help... for example in the track "Lucid Dreaming" in the bit around 1:50 through 2:10 it feels like the emcee has to mash a lot of words in a little space. I think you could probably rewrite those to fit (maybe drop about three syllables per line there... with at least a beat pause or something occasionally.
Otherwise, not bad at all.

We need a mind control ray emote.
So, Donk...Abuse any girlfriends, recently?

Maybe they could do a song about torturing girlfriends who are too physically ill to be physically capable of leaving the situation, and too far from family and friends to get help.

Well, I was thinking more of a song that had lyrics which fit the music without needing shoehorns and sledgehammers. No matter what the topic of the song is... treating lyrics like a load of Mexican immigrants in the back of a bread truck just isn't a good idea.

Haven't abused anyone intentionally past or present...and my lovely wife seems to be very happy with me so, I don't think she feels like she is being abused in any way.

Meh...we will leave those songs to the death metal genre....We are more interested in booty shakin and thought wakin.

What happen :?
The music is alright, but, for me, the vocals turn me off. But, I'm biased because I was in a funk band made up of some crazy-talented musicians (myself excluded).

shut the fuck up you lying piece of shit. I know what you did to my step-niece, and I tell you, if I was in the country at that time I'd have come down there and broken your fucking legs.
go die in a hole somewhere you cunt.
This.
Also, if he's married, why's he still stalking D3? Oh, yeah, because he's a piece of shit.
I noticed he hasn't posted since.
I don't like this music.
The ladies can't carry a note, together or apart and the MC is annoying.
Also as far as funk goes... meh.
Oh, wait. Now we'll be accused of bias because we can't appreciate a musician's skills because he's such an utter douchebag for letting his girlfriend starve to death.

I can handle that just fine, personally. That's the best kind of bias out there. Barstool or no.
WHY CAN'T YOU APPRECIATE ART?
\
:piss:
Well, it's better than A Klokwerk Kaos, if that is any consolation.

Actually, it's my mind control rays.
Yeah, if it wasn't for Roger's influence none of us would think it was COMPLETELY FUCKED UP that he starved his sick girlfriend, served her rotten food, and continued to stalk her years later even while married.
Because we're all too brain-dead to recognize that's disgusting, dangerous, sociopathic behavior.

misunderstood. It was an accident. He slipped.
