This will be the last time I ever post here.

BB and Earthy are friends of mine and didn't deserve this shit.

Please ban my account, thanks.

You know better than that on both accounts. We don't ban peoples' accounts on their request. And Eartha sure as hell DID deserve this. I saw some of the PMs she sent Nigel (never mind the ones she sent ME the last time she had an episode of bugfuck) and if she lived in North America I'd have a restraining order put in place against her.

Out of respect for you I will reply. I will never come here again. My reasons are my own and are best kept to myself. I will miss many here and wish those the best. I submit she (Eartha) was provoked to this. I remember when my wife was assaulted at EB&G by some. I resented that then and still do. I also resent the recent attacks on me here. If this is what this board has come to, well, I am better served by simply not being here.

Oh yeah... I liked that piece when it was written.  Good to see it's found a new home.

I will pass this on to her and thanks!

"The sound shivers through the walls, through the table, through the window frame, and into my finger. These distraction-oholics. These focus-ophobics. Old George Orwell got it backward. Big Brother isn't watching. He's singing and dancing. He's pulling rabbits out of a hat. Big Brother's holding your attention every moment you're awake. He's making sure you're always distracted. He's making sure you're fully absorbed... and this being fed, it's worse than being watched. With the world always filling you, no one has to worry about what's in your mind. With everyone's imagination atrophied, no one will ever be a threat to the world."  Chuck Palahniuk

Everyone is so worried about Big Brother watching.  People spend hours every day wasting time and energy on the worry that someone might see something.  Bi-peds hold their privacy so close, it is as important to them as air.

Maybe that is the problem.  Everyone is so worried about who might see something they stopped concerning themselves with what they are or are not seeing.  See Big Brother isn't watching us, we are watching him.

Few are safe, because humanity has become addicted to watching everyone else, they've forgotten that there are traps they cannot see.  They don't think about the things that once seen cannot be unseen.  So they watch.

What are those Kardashians up to today?

Who's left in the Big Brother house?

Is Lindsey Lohan back in jail?

Who will be the NEXT American Idol?

While humanity is distracted with trivial interests like this, Big Brother, he's kicking ass in every corner no one is looking.  While so many were worried about some little girl falling off a stage last night on American Idol, 28 people were killed and another 235 wounded in Syria.

While everyone is watching everyone else's status on Facebook, a couple was killed in Tennessee for un-friending another woman.  The couple's eight month old baby was found in its dead mother's arms.

While Obama caves on the birth control issue and the Catholic church continues with it's go forth and multiply message, proven by the average daily births worldwide of 353,015, no one stops to wonder what happens when there is just no more room.

Is it possible that we need to stop looking at the obvious and find out what the obvious is hiding behind its back?

Khara has decided to take ownership of this piece. I posted it here under my name at her request, and now, at her request I am giving her the credit.

Hey, everyone,

I think I need to apologize for the way this thread has gone.  I'm afraid I wasn't on the board when this started going down. If I had been, I would have answered in the same way:

That's still kinda not finished, isn't it?

Perhaps --- but I don't think anybody's gonna declare it "done". As soon as there've been no new submissions for a week, I'd say that's a good indicator that we're out of steam on it. Also, having a "first draft" pamphlet is often what we need to see what the project is missing.

Not to speak for Nigel, only for myself:  If you can leave it open ended, with the ability to add as much stuff as we want at any moment, why the hell not?  I'm not done with it, and I'm not going to stop until I think I've said my piece.  But if you want to keep adding onto whatever drafts you want to create, go for it.

I mean, after I had started the Spider Project, something like a dozen more pieces showed up; but I didn't declare them invalid.  The project simply grew.

For the record, I've worked with Cram on a few things, most notable the CTC, and even if our views on C(K)optright/Left don't always align, I never once thought he was hijacking or stealing ideas in the way that's been implied.  Part of his talent include layout and publishing, and I think he was simply eager to lend a hand in whatever way he could.

Also for the record: I consider Roger a friend; I consider Nigel a friend; I consider Freeky a friend; I consider Charley a friend; I consider 000 a friend; I consider WHN (formerly RWHN) a friend; and I consider Cram a friend.  I appreciate my friends speaking up when they think something odd is going on, and I appreciate my friends wanting to help move projects forward.

I truly regret any static that has occurred.

Well said, and back at you as a friend. I'll be at the Bar, where the cool kids never go.

Joke made. Offense taken. Hilarity resulted.

I know I offended the hell out of Cram yesterday.

Why wasn't that "hilarity"?

Well, that was an open attack and not an attempt at humor. I see a big difference there.

So, if I'd honked a bicycle horn and thrown a cream pie while I did it, it would be okay?

Are you deliberately being obtuse? You damn well know the difference.

Nope.  I do not.  Because I attacked a particular person, it isn't funny.  If I attack an entire race or gender, it's funny.  I don't understand that.

Bullshit, no race or gender was attacked and you know it. If there hadn't been such a over the top reaction to a dumb joke the entire thing would have gone away. In true Discordian fashion we merely reacted  to the reaction.

:lulz: This just gets better and better every time I leave and come back. Apparently "LOLMISOGYNY" is an over the top reaction, but pages and pages of butthurt over someone saying "LOLMISOGYNY" isn't.

:lulz: :lulz: :lulz:
This thread has gone all the way back around to the other side.

Yeah, because you are always right. Oh, that  has nothing to do with you being a woman, but has a great deal to do with your arrogance.

I have changed my name back for clarification. If you people don't think what is posted is funny, or up to your standards, then try fucking ignoring it instead of creating a fucking board war.

This is complete bullshit and disgusts me.

Got that guys?  If you disagree with anyone from now on, you're not allowed to discuss it, you have to ignore it, IOW shut up.

Strife is bad, mmmk?

Go fuck yourself. You come in the discussion in the 11th hour for no other purpose than to stir shit up.

I don't see that anybody won.

Doesn't fucking matter to me anymore. I will never again participate in a group project. I will never again get tangled up in bullshit like this. PD loses.

Roger, you win. See the lame joke in OKM.

This is just a fucking difference in opinions and I personally am fed up with all this stupid shit.

Fuck it.

Meh, I think Cram was just trying to help keep things moving, didn't see him trying to poach anything.  Just trying to lend a hand.  A pretty experienced hand I would say.  He really has been the lifeblood to a lot of stuff around here.  I think things are being blown WAY out of proportion, which I suppose is part of PD's charm.  I really don't think dumping on his character is necessary, he's been very straightforward with his intention.

I agree.

I disagree.

You would.

Sometimes you gotta go, "Self, what's up? What's going on here? Do you even know what you're on about?"

Do we ever really know?
