Had the school retracted their invitation due to conduct outside of school, such as telling the world about how the boy raped her, or even prevented her from speaking about the matter during the school day when speech of a different viewpoint is allowed,  I would agree their would be a case.

So there's no special consideration even in extreme cases (IE being raped)?  FFS, there's more to this than simple free speech rights.

I'm wondering how much, "If she was raped it was her own fault" and "Just deal with it and stop whining" was tossed around...  This is ridiculous.  She's basically being punished for being a cheerleader and being raped by some guy on the sports team and having the balls to not just take it.

Yet unjust admin practices continue, ego is the rule of the day, you talk about the behind the scenes things but there is no real evidence. Once a horse is dead, continued beating serve no purpose. Any of us here would have walked away by no later than the second unfair admin event. Yet you continue, so we are left to draw the conclusion that your position means more to you than your ideals.

Ok, thank you for explaining clearly, I appreciate that.  To clarify, I've been at TCC since around 1996.  The modding practices have swung in both directions, getting consistently more moderate as the years went by.  Since I'm not going to show screen shots of the admin board there is no way for me to support my claims and I understand that people here will not believe with out proof.  I obviously look at the world differently than the people here.  I am an idealist and that leads me to continue to try and reach those ideals, not give up and leave when things swing against those ideals.  It would be easier to leave, but to me it would be the same as abandoning a child just because there are behavior issues.

Pixie:  I ranted in the pornography thread about censorship.  I don't remember what if anything I said specifically about the veggies on the main boards and I have no idea how to do screenshots.  ETA Thanks BabylonHoruv

Comparing a tyrannical forum to an abandoned child isn't going to cut it. I was a years long member of MW, like so many others here and rather than "try to fix what was beyond repair" like so many others here I left. Yes, I was permabanned, but the thread I started that led to my ban was deliberate.

Roger, Cain and myself walked away from admin positions at Shadows board when he started the same thing. I was going to walk away from EB&G because of the same thing but the owner unmodded me first.

I guess what I am trying to say is, no, we can not understand your willingness to accept that kind of behavior under the guise of trying to change it. We are indeed not idealists, we are realists, a part of Discordianism I suppose. We try very hard to see things as they really are, not what we would like fo0r them to be.

I found it interesting to find the idea that we are all in our own separate prison (mental construct of the world, whatever a person wishes to call it) here.  I honestly hadn't expected it since many people seem to be so reactive to other people's thoughts and opinions.  That part goes directly counter the concept I learned.

Translation: I have viewed this through my grid and made it into something with shamanizm and teachers and stuff.
