at least answer my question? what did i do to gitmo?

what did i do to Gitmo? He and i had a few angry tells sent back and forth about me doing something and him being mad, but i honestly don't remember what i did.

then i remember giving up my modship because of your posts and because i didn't like what came with the modship. remind me what i did, maybe i DID give up the modship because i felt i had overstepped my bounds. i don't remember.

See, what the problem here is, every time I try to settle down and stop the flaming, some kid comes along picking a fight.

Then, they think the fight will just end when they figure out their nasty little attacks didn't do any good.

So, you get what's happening here.  I don't like it any more than anybody else, but I'll be damned if I'm going to put up with a pile of shit about "content" from someone who rarely - if ever- provided any content himself.

okay. that's my problem right there. this isn't the place for serious conversation and yet again, i shouldn't enforce my views on the board. you win.

i can't put any thought into them. let me rephrase. they were all attacks on you, but instead of saying 'you're stupid' i should have said something like 'you're an arrogant asshole' or something similar. but even that's not right. i'm arrogant here too. i guess i can't be coherent when i'm angry?


after we finish up with this thread, i'm done with the sniping attempts on you for good. it'll end here.

this whole thing stems from my selfishness- i was being whiny because the boards changed from the 'good ol' days' that i remember to what they are now. they used to be enjoyable to come to and read and now i think a lot of the enjoyment is drowned out in hostility and fluff (read: random crap that takes good threads off topic, OR rants written by people that i don't understand and thus deem stupid. go me! rah!).

i already said i was wrong for expecting the board to do what i want. i'm sorry i didn't say i was against rants, i said i think YOU hurt this board. and i still do. You're right, most of my posts are attacks on posters, namely YOU, but they're all pretty weak 'attacks'. I'll post more of this later i guess but i don't have anything to say, so what do you say?

Why do you guys enjoy(and or put up with) a forum full of fluff, threadjacking, and trolling? What can you expect to get out of a place full of this? I thought that this board would be a learning experience but all it seems to be is a bunch of shit with a bunch of fighting, flaming, etc (yeah boo hoo for me). i didn't say i was against rants. i don't see the point of all the trolling under other accounts. guess it's my fault for wanting the forums to be something they can't be.

i posted another trollaxian emo thread about me leaving then i pulled a slartibartfast and just decided to drop out of the mod usergroup instead. and bella is right, but oh well. it's all greek to me. of course i'll hang around like i always do. god damn i'm thirsty though.

in a follow up to my original post, i would like to point out that yet again you guys are fucking stupid, with the exception of a few people. i'm not gonna pull a slartibartfast and make a whiny 'look at me' post threatening to quit again, i just need to say this.

In the last two years since i've joined here, the forum has gone from <a small place with just a bit of activity> to an <awesome place for people to talk about ideas and rant and provide sermons> to <a bunch of people posting fluff and fluff and fluff and threadjacking, and maybe a ratio of 1:1000 good:worthless posts>.

What happened? Why are we suddenly full of so many trolls and people trolling under other accounts for stupid and bullshit reasons, and too many people pulling the high-and-mighty act all the time?
