News:

We've got artists, scientists, scholars, pranksters, publishers, songwriters, and political activists.  We've subjected Discordia to scrutiny, torn it apart, and put it back together. We've written songs about it, we've got a stack of essays, and, to refer back to your quote above, we criticize the hell out of each other.

Literate Chaotic / Printing of kopyleft PD matterial
March 28, 2008, 08:29:54 AM
K this is just an idea, but...

the piece i have in mind at the moment is the BIP, but this would apply to all "substanstial" collections produced on this forum or others for that matter, that are kopyleft.

I've found a site that one can submit pdf's to and then they print and distribute the material. kinda self publishing if you will.
I'm going to give it a try with the BIP (version 2 i think) then link to it here.

let me know what you all think.

[edit]
[ just in case people get the wrong idea, it would obviously not be for profit ]
[ purely for distribution, it would be like +- US$ 5.00 plus postage ]

Principia Discussion / BIP vs Palm Tree Garden
January 18, 2008, 08:25:27 AM
QuotePhilip K. Dick's "Black Iron Prison", the state of existence in which we all exist until we are able to undergo "anamnesis", the loss of forgetfulness and experience to the concept of gnosis, or completeness. This cosmology, which is based on early Christian gnostic thinking was outlined in his novel "Valis".

For Dick the opposite of the "Black Iron Prison" is the "Palm Tree Garden".

... is it the opposite, or the inverse  (meaning the same thing) ????

Principia Discussion / contrast between BIP and PD ....
January 10, 2008, 09:26:18 AM
k i'll be the first to admit it, but im a n00b.
the thing thats getting to me though is this.....

the PD was frikken awsome..(if a little "sugarcoated") as noted in the BIP...... but  personally i think that that the BIP has taken it a little to close to the literal..... what happend to the middle ground?

am i the only knob that feels this way? or does some1 agree???

hopee i posted this in the right section....
