12 is a one and a two, when you add those together you get three, and if you add one two to three you get five. It's not even a convoluted enough line to five to be all that meaningful.
The characteristic feature of the loser is to bemoan, in general terms, mankind's flaws, biases, contradictions and irrationality-without exploiting them for fun and profit

Quote from: Brother Mythos on December 27, 2024, 06:28:44 AMI think the descriptor "Total Mayhem" is a bit hyperbolic, but I still find this article to be amusing:
"MAGA in Total Mayhem as Laura Loomer Goes to War With Elon Musk"
As per this article:
"Right-wing influencer and Donald Trump gadfly Laura Loomer is attacking Elon Musk, seemingly over his desire for more immigrants to work and study in science and technology fields in the United States.
In several posts on X Thursday, Loomer railed against Musk and his influence on Trump. She attacked Musk's "Department of Government Efficiency" project with Vivek Ramaswamy, calling it a "vanity project" on Wednesday before accusing it as a smokescreen for "the pet projects of tech bro billionaires" on Thursday. She also claimed that there would be a falling out between Musk and Trump soon."
Here's the link: Laura Loomer versus the USCEO
As TTSS has already kicked Loomer to the curb, I don't see her attack on his USCEO going anywhere. And, I'm now not optimistic that TTSS, or any of the other members of the First Crime Family, will cut themselves off from the assets of the richest prick on the planet. Right now, I think they're all just too greedy to even seriously consider the possibility.
Quote from: Brother Mythos on December 20, 2024, 06:48:52 PMQuote from: Pergamos on December 20, 2024, 05:34:14 PMsomeone facing a lynch mob is also an "indiscriminate mass shooter" That particular situation gets ignored by Dems and GOP both, but an automatic weapon is extremely nice to have if you are facing a mob.
I got a big kick, and a smile out of your reply. It reminded me of the time, years ago, when a friend and I were confronted by a small "mob" in an open, very public place.
I WOULD NOT BE ALIVE TODAY, AND WRITING THIS REPLY if I, or my friend, or both of us had been visibly carrying any type of firearms. And, that's because that small "mob" (Six young men.) already had their automatic weapons in their hands, and aimed directly at us from close range (Three steps out of my reach, and two steps out of my friend's reach.), before we even knew we were in any kind of trouble in that open, very public place.
And, that was also the day I came to the realization that a gun ain't worth JACK FUCKING GODDAMNED SHIT, if it's not loaded and in your hand well before the other guy(s) can get one(s) in his/their hand(s).
Quote from: Brother Mythos on December 21, 2024, 11:21:58 PMI admit it, I love making fun of Steve Bannon. Still, there are times when I unexpectedly find myself in agreement with a political enemy on a particular issue, even though we're both seeking totally different "big picture" end results. And, what Bannon had to say in the following article is one of those times:
"'We have to increase taxes on the wealthy': Steve Bannon"
I gave up trying to find a couple of succinct quotations that clearly summarize the contents of this article. Nevertheless, Bannon does clearly explain why he advocates taxing the rich. Further, Bannon's calculated appeal to populism is something the Democratic Party, leftists, etc. need to study and emulate.
Quote from: Brother Mythos on June 20, 2024, 11:54:31 PMI have never fired a rifle equipped with a bump stock. But, it is my understanding that bump stocks severely reduce the accuracy of such a rifle. So, that make a rifle equipped with a bump stock unsuitable for target shooting. In any case, automatic, and even semi-automatic rifles can not be legally used for hunting game in, at least, my state. (There used to be an exception allowing handicapped hunters to use semi-automatic rifles, and that exception may still exist.)
So, what is a rifle equipped with a bump stock actually good for? Well, as has already been well proven, it's a great choice for an indiscriminate mass shooter.
"Republicans block bill to outlaw bump stocks for rifles after Supreme Court lifts Trump-era ban"
As per this article:
"WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republicans blocked bipartisan legislation Tuesday that would have outlawed bump stocks after the Supreme Court struck down a ban on the rapid-fire gun accessory used in the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.
Democrats tried to force a voice vote on the bill to ban bump stocks, a tactic often used by both parties when they know that they don't have the votes to pass legislation but want to bring an issue to the Senate floor. The bill, sponsored by Sens. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., and Susan Collins, R-Maine, would ban the sale of the devices, similar to the rule issued by President Donald Trump's administration after a gunman in Las Vegas attacked a country music festival in 2017 with semiautomatic rifles equipped with the accessories."
And, as per further along in this article:
"Nebraska Sen. Pete Ricketts objected for Republicans, blocking an immediate vote on the bill. He called the legislation a "gun grabbing overreach" that could be interpreted to include other gun accessories beyond bump stocks."

As surviving a mass shooting, as well as initiating one, is becoming something a 'rite of passage' in the US of A, the Republicult™ is certainly doing its part to make sure it actually becomes another 'Merican tradition.
Quote from: Brother Mythos on December 05, 2024, 11:16:27 PMIt's a Republicult™ trifecta!
"Is weather modification real? A Florida lawmaker is trying to ban it. What are chemtrails?"
As per this article:
"Miami state Sen. Ileana Garcia has introduced legislation banning "weather modification activities" in Florida.
It is uncertain what actual practice she may be addressing, although the language of the bill and her social media reposts suggest she is seeking to ban "chemtrails," the fear of a long-running conspiracy theory that nefarious people or government agencies are spreading toxic chemicals on an unsuspecting populace through the white trails in the sky left by airplanes.
If SB 56 passes, it would repeal nearly a dozen provisions in Florida statutes that allow state-licensed weather modification such as cloud-seeding to cause rain, block any future innovations, and prohibit the injection, release or dispersion of any substance or apparatus into the atmosphere within Florida's borders "for the express purpose of affecting the temperature, the weather, or the intensity of sunlight."
The bill also adds a fine of up to $10,000 for violations.
"As a leader in the community, I'm committed to addressing the real issues affecting our communities," Garcia said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, where she also shared a post from a user praising her bill and pointing out suspicious contrails. "As a mother, daughter, and community member, I care deeply about our neighborhoods.""

Quote from: Brother Mythos on November 11, 2024, 08:17:21 PMSo, I have two (2) questions for you, as follows:
1. How many votes did TSF lose over his own unconditional support for Israel?
2. In the end, what difference did the lose of those votes actually make?

"US Muslims Who Voted For Trump Now Upset With His Pro-Israel Cabinet"
"We are very disappointed. It seems like this administration has been packed entirely with neoconservatives and extremely pro-Israel, pro-war people."
I'm really tempted to make more fun of them for the choice they made. But, they were far from being the only group who made that exact same choice, and have already come to regret it.

The Resistance 2.0 is going to have to make contact with, and enlist these people in our cause. And, I don't foresee it being very long before they're ready to disavow the "Dark Side." My hope is that the Democratic Party doesn't simply use them, and then abandon them again.
Of course it will, and it will do the same to you. If you think the Democrats are a resistance you aren't at all serious about resisting.
I agree with you, but I gotta ask: Who do you see as the most effective kernel of resistance?
mutual aid, localism, taking care of your neighbors and building in person connections. That absolutely can include local politicians, but anyone above a municipal or county level is too big to be worth considering.
So, "hunkering down and hoping you're not a target."
