As long as I'm on the subject, I should have had the 'Fixed' in the mock quote from the beginning.

Ok so, I hate to drag an old argument into a new thread, but I can't find the last thread that this one was dragged into.

On the temporary banning of Roger in IRC:

While I still believe you were spamming, and both deserved and needed to be banned, I should never have taken it upon myself to make that decision because I was involved, and being involved I can't trust my judgment on the matter.

So, I apologize for it.

So..  Man, that Patriot Act.  That's some Act, hu?   :)

Sorry, dude.  Requia has to SHOW ME.

If ya want, I'll split the thread when the mess is over.

Are you going to split every thread Requia decides to show us all how much smarter than the rest of us it is?

That's done by the request of the thread OP.

I smell an Unlimited thread in the near future.  :lulz:

Not by me.  I'm involved.

I'd just like to say I have a fuckton of respect for you, solely based on this issue.

Yeah...I just bet he sleeps better tonight knowing that.

I very much doubt he gives a shit, I just felt it should be said.

I know Slyph has been reading a lot of Objectivist philosophy lately, and in the thread in question, he suggested that actually Objectivists would find the negligent manslaughter as being "more evil", as the level of "evasion" was greater.

But who are you going to trust, a guy who has been driving himself crazy with Ayn Rand's brainfarts for the past few months and had no reason to take one side over the other, or someone looking to score points in a personal argument?

I missed his post.  And I don't see anything wrong with his argument.  Roger's claim however is that Objectivists believe any act of negligence is the same as attempted murder.  There is not, as far as I can tell, any reason for this claim.

Except that "the same", "as bad", "equivalent", "tantamount", etc. are synonymous?

Unless you're being pedantic about my use of 'the same' I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
Pedantry?

Roger was saying that Objectivists believe that negligence is a crime tantamount to attempted murder. Short handed in an easily understood way that when a pedantic asshole comes along they could misrepresent it as being one and the same. Everyone but YOU understood what he was saying. Fuck off.

FUCK YOU REQUIA DIED FROM THE PATRIOT ACT!

Ok, so you're being pedantic as fuck, because I didn't use the right words for you.

I promise to refrain from any accusations of mod abuse if you split the thread right away in this case.

I still have a hard time believing that dropping the argument while you made plans for a funeral was some horrible cheap shot.

Then maybe you should get your assburgers treated until you can make a simple statement without being incredibly offensive.

Yeah, I've never been very good about how to act when people die, and they don't cover that in the treatment regiment.  I would think however, that the actions were pretty clear.

Oh, and go ahead and make your little revenge thread, Requia.   :lulz:

This should be good.

My revenge thread?  You're the one dragging old arguments all over PD.

Um, yeah.  You can't keep your lies straight for ten minutes, can you?

Misrepresenting my posts, now?

You useless piece of shit.

Not in the least.  I should really make a thread devoted to all the lies you tell about people you don't like.

:lulz:

Other thread, not this one, right now I'm just responding to other people.  But I can see the confusion.

I had assumed that there was some part of objectivism I wasn't aware of that led Roger to this, but when I questioned him he immediately lost his shit.

No, I made fun of you, for being your normal dumbfuck know-it-all self.

So you took a cheap shot at my Grandfather's passing, and fled for a week or so.

I still have a hard time believing that dropping the argument while you made plans for a funeral was some horrible cheap shot.

I mean, FFS, its more respectful to be a total asshole and ignore your loss?  I must have missed that memo.

...This from the dumbfuck who has resorted to changing people's text without notation.

You dishonest piece of human garbage.  I'm not shocked that you have a soft spot for objectivists.  They're really your kind of people.

Lie one, there was notation.

Nope.  You added bolded text, without mentioning that you added it.  You lying sack of shit.

That would be standard notation to mark an edit on the net.  Like I said, if you want a different notation tell me and I'll edit it.

You don't actually *have* a preferred notation though, you just want to lie about people you don't like.

Sure I do.  The standard is "FIXED", or some variation thereof.  You know this.

You just chose to be dishonest, like you always do.

Edit made.

I will concede that some people, whose brains don't function properly, might not recognize that was an edit.  If you have a preferred notation I'll use that from now on.
