The Republicult's™ adoration of TFG is a truly amazing thing. In reality, here's a guy who's a nepo baby, a sociopath, a pathological liar, a malignant narcissist, a serial draft dodger, a career white-collar criminal, a rapist, and an insurrectionist. And, that's not even a complete, repugnant list of his obvious character flaws. Yet, despite all that, some in the cult still go as far as to compare him to JFC.

In truth, if there were a Con Artists' Hall of Fame, TFG would be nominated, and elected to full membership on the very first ballot. After all, TFG makes Charles Ponzi look like a dilettante. Anyway, it just occurred to me that Peter's Placebo, a term originally coined by Dr. Laurence J. Peter of The Peter Principle fame, clearly explains TFG popularity within the Republicult™. And so, here is Peter's Placebo:

Apparently, absolutely nothing is off-limits, or even sacred to AI.

"AI-generated pornography will disrupt the adult content industry and raise new ethical concerns"

As per this article:

"Artificial intelligence (AI) is already reshaping various industries, from medicine and education to science and finance. AI is set to disrupt yet another market: pornography. Advancements in machine learning and AI algorithms for image and video production have contributed to the growth of websites for AI-generated pornography, commonly referred to as AI porn."

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my porn to be generated by meat-based intelligences.

First, the good political news:

"Tennessee lawmakers send bill to ban first-cousin marriages to governor"

And, the good political news includes some totally expected Republicult™ news:

As per this article:

"NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Republican-led Tennessee Legislature has overwhelmingly voted to send GOP Gov. Bill Lee a proposal that would ban marriage between first cousins.

The House cast a 75-2 vote Thursday on the bill after the Senate previously approved it without any opposition.

But a particularly vocal opponent, Republican Rep. Gino Bulso, took up most of the debate time, as he argued for an amendment to allow first-cousin marriages if the couple first seeks counseling from a genetic counselor.

And, as per further along in this article:

"Republican Rep. Monty Fritts was the other lawmaker to vote against the bill."

So, just another glimpse into the reality of 21st century "Merica.

Today is International Louie Louie Day! At least it is according to this link:   International Louie Louie Day

So, of course, here's what I'm listening to today:   Louie Louie - The Kingsmen {DES Stereo} 1963

Watching and listening to this video today, I once again find it truly bizarre that FBI agents were actually assigned to follow these guys around in the Establishment's quest to find obscene lyrics in the song. But then, the Establishment of the 1960s really did live in fear of the youth of that era.

Along with the many conspiracy theories out there, UFOs are a popular 'Merican media subject for other reasons. For instance:

"Joe Rogan Suggests UFOs, Drug Use Are in the Bible"

As per this article:

"Joe Rogan discussed whether the Bible depicts UFO sightings and drug use during a recent installment of his popular podcast.

The broadcaster, whose podcast The Joe Rogan Experience is among the world's most listened-to shows, delved into the matter during a discussion with writer, producer and director David Holthouse in an episode released on April 2. Holthouse and Rogan spoke about various UFO sightings over the years, and theorized that they could be evidence of top-secret military projects or alien life forms.

Among the several ideas thrown forward, Rogan also floated the theory that UFOs have always been present on Earth, before pulling up scripture from the Bible's Old Testament Book of Ezekiel, which speaks of an encounter with unknown beings."

And, further along in this article:

"While Ezekiel said that a human-like figure high above the beings was an "appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord," Rogan and Holthouse floated the theory that perhaps this was an hallucinogenic experience.

"I mean to anybody that's done DMT [dimethyltryptamine] or ayahuasca—really tripped on psychedelics—you read that and it feels sort of familiar," Holthouse said. "The glory of God, these visions of these beings.""

And, even further along in his podcast, Rogan theorized that Moses may have been a stoner. So, never let it be said that 'Merican media doesn't cover all of the really important issues.

April 6, 1963 - The Kingsmen Recorded Their Cover of "Louie Louie"

American Songwriter magazine, whatever that is, wrote about this song, "It might be the best-known rock song of all time. It might be the most important rock song of all time." And, the Kingsmen's cover is by far its best-known version.

"Louie Louie" has been covered by literally thousands of noted artists. It inspired International Louie Louie Day, in honor of its writer, Richard Berry. And, it inspired the infamous Louie Louie Parade held annually in Philadelphia, until it was eventually canceled due to "excessive rowdiness."

The Establishment of the 1960s really freaked-out over "Louie Louie" being played on the radio. J. Edgar Hoover actually assigned FBI agents to follow the Kingsmen around from performance to performance, to investigate suspected obscenities in the song's lyrics. Now, that in itself was truly indicative of just how popular and influential this song was to ultimately become.

"Tennessee Moves to Classify 'Vaccine Lettuce' as a Drug"

As per this article:

"A bill that would classify as a drug certain foods with vaccine materials added to them was passed by the Tennessee Senate and now awaits Governor Bill Lee's signature into law amid concerns about research on putting immunity boosters into lettuce.

The proposed law, HB 1894, was passed in a 23-6 Senate vote last Thursday after getting the House's green light in a 73-22 vote in early March.

It would classify any food that "contains a vaccine or vaccine material" as a drug under Tennessee law, meaning the food would have to be labeled accordingly. The bill defines vaccine material as a substance intended to "stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against disease."

The legislation would not ban vaccine-imbued foods from being sold in the state but would require them to carry the same sort of medical labeling as injectable vaccines or medications."

Having never seen any 'Vaccine Lettuce' in any of my local grocery stores, I didn't even know it was a thing. And, as per this article, it isn't a thing yet. Now, some might say that the politicians of Tennessee are farsighted. And, by that I mean really, really farsighted. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure those guys have much more important things to worry about at the present time.

Uh-oh, it looks like there's trouble in paradise.

"Republican blame game heats up as their majority thins"

As per this article:

"The internal blame game has highlighted both the deep divisions dogging the House GOP — where conservative agitators are bashing moderates as apostates, and moderates are bashing the hard-liners as obstructionists — and the minuscule majority that's made it all but impossible for Republican leaders to unite the warring camps for the sake of passing the party's policy priorities."

And, further along in this article:

""Every time a Mike Gallagher or a Ken Buck leaves early, that brings our numbers down and brings us dangerously closer to being in the minority," Greene said Tuesday in an interview with Real America's Voice, a conservative cable channel.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has largely downplayed the departures, noting that both parties are losing a number of veteran lawmakers next year to retirement or bids for higher office — a natural trend that accompanies virtually every election cycle.

"When I last checked, we're about on par with other Congresses," he told reporters after Buck's announcement. "It just — it always feels like that when you're in the midst of one."

Yet the number of resignations, as opposed to retirements, has been more pronounced this cycle. And some of the departing lawmakers are citing an extraordinary reason behind their decision: The environment on Capitol Hill has become so toxic, they say, that they simply can't bear to stick around."

I guess some members of the Republicult™ don't want to drink their Kool-Aid. And worse, I just may run out of popcorn before this act of their show is even over.
