my brain was buzzing last night and it took me ages to get to sleep. so what i was thinking of was:
wouldn't it be good to have a list along the lines of:
Daily Reminders (10 Ways to remember BIP)
my reasoning being is that the BIP and related projects is producing a lot of great stuff. but the bottom line will be is people reading the various pamphlets etc and saying: "Ok, that's pretty interesting. But how do I actually use this stuff?"
what pragmatic tools are there for people to employ that will help them either find and/or reaffirm BIP consciousness?
1.  "Everything you see is upside down."
(Old Buckminster Fuller trick.  When an image goes through the lens of your eye, it flips upside down, and is re-interpreted by your brain as appearring right side up.)
in regards to tools:
Quiet time.
I think some alone time with the mind is conducive.  The noise of the world can often get in the way of things.
But, I think people should make it a habit to chisel out a time of reflection, whether it is a 5 minute coffee break, or a 1 hour meditation.
And then, I think also, related and unrelated, is to allow the mind to meander.  Focus is necessary in certain and many situations, but I think we can also discover, or rediscover things about ourselves if we allow for a "free range" mind, if you will.
for me, its the ability to have a reliable endless source of creativity
subsequently:
never bored
never feel isolated
constantly amused
constantly exploring
constantly learning
sleep well
no problems waking up
rarely watch my words
rarely hesitate
no malice
there is a lot of implications
this is good stuff. keep it coming 8)
If you're caught in the rain without an umbrella, you can sulk, or you can dance. You're gonna get wet either way.
(Is it sad that this was actually a summary of my breakthrough experience w/ the BIP?)
this sounds sort of just like what DJRubberducky said about not eating pork meat to reaffirm your religion.
while for the reaffirming business a very good idea, we need to be careful that we don't go on a slippery slope with this.
but maybe we can just do it right, and make sure the affirmations will and should be thrown out of the window as often as possible.
that aside, how about this one:
>> every time you need to explain yourself to someone or clear something up about what you just said, shows that you were indeed just trying to shout through a prison wall
and:
LMNO: i just tried imagining that. wow. ouch. head asplody. i'll continue ignoring it for now, if you don't mind.
RWHN: sounds like you're describing prayer?

I suppose on some level, though I wouldn't really think of it as appealing to a higher power.  More, like making a line of communication to the inner power.

for me personally - my situation was pretty similar to SC
i shudder to think what wouldve happened if i didnt listen to my instincts
i know the system dont necessarily mean to do any harm - but it does a lot of harm
whether or not the intentions are good and the harm comes indirectly is of no significance
i said it before in another thread too - maybe at EBG
none of this would be possible without the internet
this type of positive re-enforcement is not available in large quantities offline (yet)
